Cost of taxi from MIA to port?

We are staying two nights. FIrst night we get in around 3 pm so we likely wont do too much. Maybe dinner and pool etc. The second full day is my birthday so I want to do something fun and cool. Any suggestions? It's my friend and I...I'm turning 40.

 

Next question, what would the cost of a cab be from hotel to the port? I figured I'd book a room in downtown near the port, but I couldn't turn down their offer. Thoughts?

From the airport to the Port it would be $24.00 for the cab plus tip.

 

You may want to call the hotel to ask what the fare will likely be from the hotel to the port.

 

You might want to go to South Beach for your Birthday.

Shuttle back to MIA and take the airport flyer bus to South Beach for $2.35 each way. Beach, people watching, dining, shopping, nightlife, etc. Its not quite Bourbon street in New Orleans, but they try hard - should be perfect for your 40th birthday celebration.

Marriott has a shuttle at that location. It is $11 per person to the port.

American Shuttle (based inside MIA) or Super Shuttle; I would also call your hotel to see if they can offer suggestions for local providers.
