Rooms with 'Showers Only"

No, you're not wrong. It's just that most of the staterooms have a bathtub with a shower. Your room only has a shower, no bathtub. I'm sure all staterooms come with a vanity and sink.

The only room I've been in with only a shower was a HA room (we didn't need it but had booked a guarantee). I liked it but my mother, who loves her bathtub, didn't care for it.

We have had staterooms with shower only, and it has been fine...actually easier in some ways as you don't have a big step into the tub. Having a steel railing also is acceptable, It gives a snug, secure feeling to the verandah.

All the balconies on the S class ships have steel railings and they're perfectly fine!
Yes, but on those ships you can look under the wood railing (that is, between the railing and the steel) when seated. You can't on the newest six ships, and that makes a big difference.
