Lambie, I am loving your review. I am glad you are posting pictures of what I did not see on the cruise.

G... It's good to hear from you!!! We had a wonderful cruise!!! I know I gave Nana a priority and let her decide what we'd do, so I didn't see a lot of the group... BUT, I'm glad you're seeing things in the photos that you didn't do yet!!!

Give NoG a hug and HAPPY THANKSGIVING coming up to you both!!!

Those are some of the most beautiful sunrise pictures that I have ever seen. The yellows and oranges are just amazing. And though I have never met you, you seem to be a very wonderful person. Thank you for sharing.

:o THANK YOU!!! :o I am a wonderful person... :p

I appreciate you taking the time to read and comment!! The sunrises are magnificent and as I'm standing on the deck waiting for them to begin or complete, I'm constantly looking at other parts of the sky to look for rainbows or stars or moon or shading on other clouds... I would cover all my walls with sunrise photos if I could!!! They just make me smile!!!

Technically -- I know that color comes from refractions, and in my brain, I know that. But I am always in awe of how it works and the results!!! Colors from the sky and moisture and sun... just amazing!!!!

Finally got caught up with this review. Your pictures are wonderful! The rainbow colors in Jamaica are neat and your sunrise is stunning! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!

We had a great time on Elation, rough seas for 3 days, but still had fun. I have decided not to do a review of our cruise. It was my young niece and nephew's first cruise and my pictures reflect that. My sister would not appreciate me plastering her 6 and 9 year old children's pictures all over CC. Suffice it to say, those kids are now hooked on cruising! LOL

THANK YOU!!! Sorry it's taking so long... but I have lots of excuses...

I loved the Jamaica sun set -- it amazed me!! And how ironic (is that the right use of the word) that is was, in fact, in Jamaica!!!

I love the rough seas. I love the feeling of the ship motion. It truly makes me feel like I am sailing! I don't think it makes anything ruined -- but I understand how on a first voyage, it could be frustrating. I'm glad tho', that you've converted and confirmed some new life-long cruisers!!! What a great gift it is to set the love of cruising in someone's spirit!!!

I understand about posting others faces and stories on CC. Especially when they are kiddos!!! Keep them safe and keep them close!!! This world just isn't the same as when our parents or when we grew up!!! :( plus, we all have the right to privacy.

I hope the children liked Camp Carnival!!! I know how much my DD did when she was under 18, and how sad she was when she was too old! Plus, as you'll see later in the review, even I went up to CampCarnival for an activity!!! BEAR CUDDLY!!! It will be on my final Sea Day!!

Staying out in the sun, we needed hats and sunscreen... but I love your comment!!! :D But the sunrise and the brightness as the sun rises always is special!! The "opening of a new day!"

Oh, so very true. The possibilities of a new day are endless! I read a quote ages and ages ago that stuck with me, about a sunset: "God shakes out His colors at the end of the day to delight us, then folds them up and puts them away for another day." :)

Very nice review.....that's so awesome that you took your grandma on a cruise. My grandma and I were very close...like best friends. I would have loved to take her on a cruise but she hated water....lol. We even had a speedboat when I was growing up that we named "Grandmother's Worry"..... It was quite fitting

Can't wait to see your Camp Carnival pictures! The kids loved it! There were only 20 kids total even after combining Camp Carnival and Circle C. That meant the older child could stay near the younger one. Neither child wanted to leave when one of us would go pick them up. They each came home with the Build a Bear. I already told DH I was going to do that myself (on the next cruise) if they would allow a middle aged woman in for it. He just shook his head and rolled his eyes. LOL

I am mid-30's and I made a build-a-bear on the Freedom in March. I was definitely the oldest one in there without but oh well I was on vacation. It was a lot of fun. I've got my bear sitting above my TV in my room

We arrived at Grand Cayman. The ship "anchors" and the tenders come out to get the guest or bring them back. The weather was pretty much rain for about 30 minutes, clear up, and repeat, over and over again!!

We're here from 7AM and last tender is 3:15 -- our sail away is 4PM.

Some of the activities today, while folks are ashore: Sudoku, Trivia, Totally Useless Knowledge, Bean Bag Toss, Harry Potter Trivia, Bridge Players gathering...

Then after sail away... At 4:15 is the Family Trick or Treat Hunt, Halloween Trivia, Thriller Dance Class, Costume judging at 9pm followed by the costume contest at 10:15pm, and the Halloween after party at 11.

Nana and I just relaxed and went up to the Serenity Deck, lunch, and dinner. I did some more trips down the slide, walking around and looking as they decorated the ship, and nothing special!!

Let's get to photos!!

The Eurodam is parked on one side of us and

I had time to take some photos of the Tandoori -- the Indian Place today. This is the BEST place. yes, it has some spice to it and a bit of a kick, but very palatable and enjoyable. The Farmer's Greek salad is OUTSTANDING, filling, and refreshing!!! Just for this -- go and add it to your meal!!! It never was listed on the menu sheet, but always there, right by the silverware and plates.

The fish and the chicken is coated in marinade and then skewered and cooked hanging down...

... I didn't get many photos today... as I said, we just relaxed ... we went to the library in the afternoon and Mom took a couple of her books, that she brought on board, and exchanged them for some new ones. Not many passengers do this, so there wasn't a big selection -- but she found something of interest!

We didn't do well at the trivia -- but had fun and learned some things... found friends in the hot tub and other places and we talked.

Since the shops are duty free, they are closed when you're in port, so there is no shopping, unless you go ashore! And the Casino, same thing, it's closed while in port! But the peace and the sun and the rain, in today's case, was inviting and pleasant!!!

Once we had sailed away, Nana and I got dressed and quickly headed to our Costume party in the Piano Bar. You've seen all the photos of this! We had a blast!!! Then straight from there to dinner!

Being dresses ad the Queen and Queen Mum... we were set for BOTH the Elegant Evening and the Halloween Costume dress for dinner.

Our table mates were from Hogswart, (am I remembering the name correctly?) and looked GREAT!!!

Dessert was special...

And dinner was FANTASTIC!!! But, Nana began to feel sick, and I got her back to the cabin immediately. She fell to sleep quickly after some ginger tablets and some diet cola, and was feeling better by morning!!!

Since Nana was sound asleep... I headed over to the Punchliner's club. I thought maybe it wouldn't be as crowded, since the Costume Contest would be going on in the Showtime Lounge.

While the lights were on, here's a few shots of the room. It's the lounge in the aft of the ship, just past the piano bar.

This was an Adult's show -- meaning the language and/or content is more mature -- or raunchy, in my words... but tonight it was about courtship and newly weds and marriages... and yes, some foul language, but the content was funny and true about how, as the partnership progresses, most couples move farther apart and away from the hand holding, locked eyes, you-can-do-no-wrong stages...

Now, I'm embarrassed... I call my Mom Nana, since that's what everyone calls her. I have a 43 year old son and 25 year old daughter, and my daughter loves to cruise with us -- so she shares cruises with Nana... But Nana is my Mom. I'm 60 and she's 88.

My Grammie and I were close! She lived in Calistoga, the heart of the wine country in the Napa Valley in California. I always spent summer with her and Grampa. She taught me so much about cooking, sewing, fashion (she was a buyer of woman's clothes at an upscale store), and just living!!!

My son will NOT cruise. He doesn't like it a bit. He'll hike and climb and cook and he knows his wines... He'll parachute, he'll scuba, he'll do almost anything -- but NOT CRUISE... I hate that I can't share voyages with him --but, someday -- we'll plan a cruise and meet him in a port for a day -- and he'll be there for the week!

I couldn't take any photos where the children were, but like your cruise, there weren't many on board or in Camp Carnival on this cruise, so there was an empty room and they let me go in to see it.

This was the morning after Halloween ---

But I'll have all the "Bear Cuddly" animal options and outfits!!!

Sunrise this morning is 6:51. It's time to head outside...

232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv6%3A76%3Dot%3E27%3A8%3D%3B46%3D%3B%3B%3C%3D36%3B7%3B46%3A%3C%3B349nu0mrj

Because I go out in my bathrobe... well, actually the Carnival bathrobe, and don't get dressed... I have been luck and have taken all the photos from Deck 10's bow deck. But today, it seems to be behind us. I don't have time to dress and go aft -- and I doubt I even have time just to walk aft in my bathrobe, so let me try the other side... NOPE... it's definitely the port side...

232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv33%3A9%3Dot%3E27%3A9%3D3%3B8%3D7%3B%3A%3D36%3B83%3B86%3C9349nu0mrj

I just need to run down to Deck 9. There are wings of the bridge that extend farther out over the sides, that's the advantage I need...

232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv5834%3Dot%3E27%3A9%3D3%3B8%3D7%3A%3C%3D36%3B83%3B86%3B%3B349nu0mrj

But the clouds are moving in quickly, I don't know if there will be a sunrise, or not...

232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv9%3A%3Dot%3E27%3A9%3D3%3B8%3D824%3D36%3B83%3B8733349nu0mrj

And now... back to the cabin... Nana couldn't see this sunrise, since it is aft... so I'll show it to her with my photos...

Then off to get some coffee and breakfast...

But on the way to the Lido Marketplace, for breakfast... we find the BeachPool chairs covered in towel animals!!!

232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv692%3Enu%3D4249%3E637%3E234%3EWSNRCG%3D36%3B7%3B43649349nu0mrj

Yes... I had to be artsy and take a photo thru the pink glass of the outside shower...

232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv98%3A8%3Dot%3E333%3A%3D728%3D325%3DXROQDF%3E27%3A89%3C588%3C258ot1lsi

And more of all the animals...

232323232%7Ffp83232%3Euqcshlukaxroqdfv3333%3Dot%3E333%3A%3D728%3D325%3DXROQDF%3E27%3A8%3A52739258ot1lsi

and then Lambie falls in love...
