Carnival called to offer a last minute upgrade

I was called 5 days before our Nov 16th cruise on the Conquest. We were in a inside cabin and were offered to move to a balcony on the same floor for $120 each.

So if you took it just for one person, would they move you to the balcony, and leave your spouse in the inside cabin.:D:p

I got the call today for a Dec 9th 5 day Freedom cruise. I took the upgrade from a bilge deck inside to balcony for $80. each.

We did the upgrade once when offered a Grand Suite from an Ocean Suite. We paid half price for what they were trying to get on their site. I thought it was a fair price and took it. We do love having the extra space and are in our room for more than just showering and sleeping. :D

Gotten two calls

One for aft wrap which we took, other for suite which we passed on.

Neither was a great buy but wanted to do an aft wrap so we splurged

I've been called once to upgrade from an 8M to the owners suite. Would've cost more for the upgrade, then I did on the cruise, so I turned it down.

The Aft extended is a sought after cat and sells out first. I would keep it.

 

The French door staterooms are really a great room and go rather quickly too. I would keep it.

 

I think both upgrades are a bit too expensive and should be about $150 less.

 

I think you are right. Can't remember what it would have been had I booked the balcony (solo.)

 

But I am paying less for the upsell cabin than if it were double booked, I believe...
