Negative things to say?..

Just want to say we are going on our very first cruise in Jan on Azura.Joined this site for some info and some advice,can't believe how many negative comments are posted on here about P&o.so have decided to stop reading as its starting to annoy. If you an afford a Caribean cruise then in my opinion you've got nothing to moan about .Be grateful for what you've got lots of people would give anything for these kind of holidays,you moaners should be ashamed of yourselves. Your right, I bet when you go away you will have a great time! I'm away on azura At new year and cannot wait. I have a very chilled attitude, I've saved up all year for my holiday and do you know what sometimes things don't always go to plan or your way but you make the best of it and enjoy! We are on holiday after all! I know in some cases people do have the right to be annoyed by something but at the end of the day would moaning about things really make it better! Go and enjoy your cruise and make your own opinions am

Nd I can guarantee the caribbean will not disappoint! Enjoy!

I have to agree with both posts My wife and I have cruised a number of times with P&O over the last few years the last being in March 2013 on Ventura in the Caribbean and we are aboard her again at the same time next year. We have enjoyed all our cruises and have never found anything which would cause us to complain, yes over time we have noticed small instances of "cut back" but in the present economic climate I am sure these are not confined to P&O. What I do find offensive in some of the posts are references to "Mass Market" inferring that the type of passengers on the ship are not of the type or social class that one would expect to be on a cruise ship. Both my wife and I have worked hard over the years and are now retired and in the position to enjoy ourselves which we do by cruising, and in doing so we have met on the whole a lot of nice people who know how to enjoy their holiday, we have also met people whom I would not wish to socialise with both from ends of the social strata.On our cruises we have heard a number of people complaint about the standard of food, cleanliness of the ship, standard of entertainment etc in my opinion P&O are not perfect but I enjoy their product, I have found in the past if something is not to my satisfaction I bring it to the attention of the ships staff at the time and it will be dealt with, not waiting till I return home and then moaning on a review site.

Life is to short to spend it looking for things to complain about I regard myself fortunate to be able to afford a cruise and i look forward to every one of them.

But if you can afford a Caribbean cruise and fork out for one you do want things to go well. There is a lot of competition and people obviously make comparisons. If you eventually cruise with other lines you will be able to reflect on what P&O does well and what they get wrong.

 

Having said that weve been with P&O 5 times (Azura was our first taste of P&O) and you will have a good time. Unfortunately their pricing structure stops us choosing them currently.

Hi The p & o. Boards seem to attract a number of negative commenters. I've travelled on a couple of different lines and we were very happy with the service, food and entertainment. Enjoy your holiday and relax. It's worth noting that A lot of the negativity recently has stemmed from some ill judged pricing and discounting policies. Which left some customers feeling that p & o had let them down. A holiday is what you make it and I'm sure from your post that you are people that want to get away and have a great time. As one great captain once said 'make it so'

It was Kevin, and if we have arrived at the stage that you cannot even hint that they MAY be something on P&O which MAY not be to your liking, or that their pricing structure MAY stop you booking again………………well………………..what on earth is balanced about that?
