breakaway open for lunch on embarkation day

Hi

 

Just wondering if there is anything else open for lunch on embarkation day on the Breakaway besides the Lido Deck, Savor MDR and Uptown Grille

 

I know the lido deck will be packed so trying to see if there are other places that are open for lunch on boarding day

 

Can you let me know what other places are open for lunch on embarkation day and what is the best place to have lunch,

In my opinion, the lunch in a MDR is always the best choice for starting the cruise without crowds.

On Princess (I think) they name the outside decks instead of numbering them. IIRC Lido is the pool deck so deck 15 on the Breakaway.

Thanks for the details and so glad NCL has several options for the first day other than the buffet but don't tell anybody okay!;):rolleyes::)

Uptown Grill was not busy at all for embarkation lunch but O'Sheehan's and the buffet were a mad house.

Some cruise lines officially call the pool deck "Lido", but on all cruise ships that term can be correctly used.

I completely agree with previous posters here, go to the MDR on embarkation day for lunch. It wasn't crowded at all on my sailing last May, and the food was great. I have dietary restrictions, and used that time to meet with the maitre d' as well, which worked out beautifully. Skip the crowds, and start your relaxing vacation in the best way possible!

Depends on the time, I went to O'Sheehans on embarkation day early (by noon) and no wait at all.

I was trying to avoid the buffet area on the lido deck.. I know how crazy it gets and the searching for a seat is impossible..

 

I will try the MDR and also check out O'Sheehan's

Looking forward to the embarkation lunch in the main dining room. My friend is in a wheelchair and I want a more relaxing experience than the lido.:)

On all NCL ships I've sailed so far - have not sailed on Sun though. :)
