We settled in and decided to take it easy for the rest of the day. Wes and I walked to Publix to get some extra diapers and some food for lunch. We got lunch meat, sandwich items, etc. I also bought two bottles of wine to take on the ship.

Since we woke up at 3 AM, we slept pretty hard throughout the rest of the afternoon. Later that night, Wes walked to P.F. Chang's (in front of the Galleria Mall) for takeout.

Lol ok vg! I'm enjoying your journey! I am booked on this ship which is why I'm so interested although I like your family anyway and your writing style. My son will be just seven when we go on board so hoping when you cover the
Cruise you can add whatever you noticed about adventure ocean even though you have a child much younger :) ( although maybe they have programs where you could drop Isaac off but I know you had more family on board too) my parents will be on our ship but they will be all about relaxing so I'll want to use the program for sure. Last cruise we all did as a family he was four and travels even better now and they did take him to dinner once so we had a special meal on our own at speciality dining place.

I have liked just about everywhere I have been with one huge exception that I'll not share so as not to prejudice anyone. Places I truly loved are Antarctica, South Africa and Australia, particularly Tasmania and Perth.

Did Isaac have any motion sickness issues? I have always wondered how little kids might fare in that regard and what can be done if they do get seasick.

Fortunately, Isaac didn't have any problems with motion. We were pretty relieved about that since there wasn't much we could have done to stop it.

We weren't leaving the hotel until 10, so they went to the buffet downstairs for breakfast. We decided to eat the rest of our things from Publix, and wait until we got to the ship for a larger meal.

Isaac had no idea what all the excitement was all about, lol.

I packed plenty of copies of the paper luggage tags. They're easy to attach to the luggage. I couldn't find the roll of tape I thought I packed, so the front desk let us take their tape dispenser up to our room to prepare the tags. [/COLOR][/SIZE][/FONT]

[FONT=Georgia][SIZE=3][COLOR=Indigo]Check out was easy. The front desk called us a shuttle, which was faster than waiting for a taxi. We left the hotel at about 10:15

Our ride to the ship took about 15 minutes. Our first glimpse of the ship:

[FONT=Georgia][SIZE=3][COLOR=Indigo]We had to wait quite a while in traffic at Port Everglades since they were trying to keep a cap on the congestion in the taxi drop-off area. I think we sat there for about 20 minutes. Agony since we were so close to the ship!:rolleyes: We paid the taxi driver, gave the porter our bags and a tip, and we were on our way!

Check-in was very quick and efficient. Really cute- we had to hold Isaac up at the counter to take his Seapass picture.

Since I just reached Platinum with the Crown and Anchor Society, we were able to bypass the larger waiting area and head upstairs to the seating area for top tiers and suite guests. I think we waited here for about 45 minutes. [/COLOR][/SIZE][/FONT]

About how many cruises does it take to get to platinum? This is my second RC cruise and I have done 2 on Celebrity but at that level not sure those two other cruises will help. At least this time we will get to enjoy some perks of crown and anchor. This is only our second cruise as a member of any cruises loyalty program which is fun :)

Depends on the length of the cruises and the type of stateroom you have on those cruises. You need 30 cruise points to make Platinum. If you sail in a JS stateroom or better, you can do that in 15 nights. That can be one cruise if you take Rhapsody or Radiance from Hawaii to Australia.

If you sail in a non-suite stateroom on 7 day cruises, then you will need 5 cruises to make Platinum. Edited by clarea

[FONT=Georgia][SIZE=3][COLOR=Indigo]A glimpse of the standing waiting area downstairs...no matter your level with C&A (or if it's your first cruise with Royal), it pays to get to the pier early so you can at least get a seat while waiting to board the Liberty.
