We will be on the Jan. 30th Constellation cruise. We are interested in going on the Explorer of the Seas on Dec. 27th. 1st) Is there any benefits to booking a cruise on a ship? and 2nd) Since Celebrity and RCCL are one, could we book a RCCL cruise on a Celebrity Ship?

Thanks in advance for your replies,

Dwain

We would like to book on board but....

We often book on Celebrity's Tuesday specials. We have been told twice by the on board cruise specialist that Tuesday specials will not enjoy the benefits of booking on board. We checked again on our last month's Eclipse cruise...and we told the same. So we just don't bother.

yes you can book a celebrity cruise on RCCL and can book a RCCL cruise on a celebrity ship

They have both sets of brochures available - often as single sheets for each cruise

We go to the internet cafe and price it up - it's free to use the internet for celebrity and RCCL sites - no need to swipe your room key

Once you have the price, go to the desk and see what they can offer

We got an extra $300obc, dinner for 2 in specialty restaurant with a bottle of wine and flights for £199 - saved us a lot of money

I have posted scans of the new onboard booking form in this thread: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1903077

Here a good quality scans (direct link to the single posting): http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showpost.php?p=39803640&postcount=117

Another benefit is that you can add promotions without canceling the cruise. I booked a cruise in september 2014 as reserved passage while being onboard and later on changed to the cruise date keeping the offered obc. Then the free classic package promotion came up and I was able to add that. Later on, the 1-2-3 was launched again with two offers to choose for europe sailings - and voila, I could add free grats.

So initial cruise was in sept. with some OBC and now I have a cruise in august with same OBC, free grats plus free classic package :-)

Hi Unipac,

Like you, we live in Germany. Also, we will be on the Eclipse with you in March.

Would really appreciate if you would get in touch directly as I have a few questions about above.

I'll be on the Century from 2/23 to 3/3. I might want to stay on board for the 3/3 to 3/6 Bahamas cruise. Is it possible to book that on board (stateroom being available of course)? What would the price and amenities (OBC, 123, etc.) be based on?

we have also booked X on RCCL and vice versa on board. Great benefits in my opinion to booking on board...(reduced deposit, OBC, within category upgrades...) We are looking to do the same this on our upcoming Silouette cruise...we plan to book RCCL Jewel of the Seas...NOW--I WISH RCCL would roll out the 123GO package!!!! Big selling point for us!
