Update-Joining the Ship in Cozumel

For those who are curious I though I would update how the journey went to join the ship in Coz. As a recap we were on the Silhouette Jan 12 sailing - 7 of us! Our flight had a major delay (cancelled? Who knows?) and we ended up flying to Cancun. We had a great each day vs a sea day then took the ferry to Coz. All along I had talked to X as had our TA and everyone knew we were coming.

 

I must say it was so easy boarding. Everyone was expecting us from gate security at the port to those at the ship. We were escorted on, had photos done and headed to our rooms. Had some time to chill then had to do Immigration (extra passport stamp!!!!). Everything else was easy...excursions were refunded, our room stewards were great....awesome trip! On the last day we were escorted off the ship as we had to the be the first ones to clear customs becAuse we joined late...not a bad perk I guess?!?

 

All in all X was awesome. However I'd advise travel insurance to everyone!!!!!

When we left for Cancun the original flight still had not left for Fort Lauderdale. I believe it had another delay and was diverted. Those poor people :(

 

We ended up staying in the Myan Riviera for two nights - great weather, great beach. Had a bit of time to explore Coz and looking forward to getting back there one day!!!

 

Was def an adventure!!!! :)
