HEADS UP SUNDAY 2/2 PORT OF MIAMI Passengers

I hope this doesn't get deleted but just wanted to let the Passengers leaving from the Port Of Miami this Sunday, 2/2 to be aware...

 

THERE WILL BE A MARATHON STARTING DOWN NEAR THE PORT @ 6:15AM SO EXPECT TRAFFIC... Now, I know the police will/should be there to allow for traffic entering and exiting the Port, but we all know how that goes sometimes !!

 

MIGHT WANT TO GET THERE EARLY... OR LATE

Saturday is the 5 k but it usually doesn't cause much trouble other than expensive hotels that weekend! Can't wait for Saturday - I'm tired of the snow!

Any idea what time the streets reopen on Sunday? We are arriving in the afternoon and staying at the Biscayne Marriott

I dont know what time all this is going to end but I can tell you from past years that Yes, it is very crowded down there. As far as traffic leading to the Port, the Police do a good job of keeping the streets open for cars to get thru.

We sailed the Breeze last year and the Marathon was going on. We were concerned so had our shuttle pick us up earlier then planned and arrived at the port around 9:30. No problems at all.
