Priceline hotels!

Plan to stay in London post TA cruise at the end of May 2014. Wondering if any one has recently bid using Priceline and what hotels they are using. Thanks

check on the betterbidding site ..it gives you some idea of hotels & bids for the area you may choose

The biddingfortravel site can also be helpful. Also check Hotwire prices and Priceline's Express Deals for benchmark pricing. I've sometimes got a better price using one of those 2 options after bids at basically those posted prices have been rejected.

Be aware that Mon 26th May is a Public Holiday in the UK, so all hotel prices will probably be more expensive over the entire weekend.

Used Hotwire recently and received a 4 star Westminster hotel, Park Plaza Riverbank, for $140USD/night in July/Aug. Figured that was pretty good compared to what I'm seeing online!

That sounds like a good deal. That hotel got good reviews from a CC member last year. It's a good location, but it is not in Westminster. It's on the opposite bank of the river.

Thanks for the responses. Have checked the various pricing websites mentioned in the above posts but decided to use Princess post cruise package at the JW Marriott Grosvenor on Park Lane. Might be a more expensive, but a 5 star hotel with good reviews, good location for what we want to see, and includes transportation from Southampton to the hotel and also to Heathrow. Hope it all works out.

Well, personally I would have advised you to booked that hotel directly with Marriott, rather than Princess, however I can say that you've made an excellent hotel choice. Stayed there in 2012 for one night post-cruise and loved it.
