wild hogs Posted February 28, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2014 We leave this Sunday and come back March 10th which is daylight savings time. Does the cruise ship change time back early Sunday morning so that when we are supposed to get off at 8 and we turn our clocks up an hour, it would of been 7? Need to get off quickly so I need to be prepared about the time change!
soccersharon Posted February 28, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2014 (edited) On Saturday night, turn your clocks forward, and you'll have the correct time. The ship will adjust their time as well. Sent from my SGH-I747M using Forums mobile app Edited February 28, 2014 by soccersharon
wild hogs Posted February 28, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted February 28, 2014 That's what I thought. I didn't even no it was daylight savings time. It seems so early! My friend happened to mention it. Thanks!
k2excursion Posted February 28, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 28, 2014 We cruised during the fall daylight savings switch once, on the first night of the cruise. The Fun Times that was placed in the cabin that first evening told us to change our clocks, as ship time would change with the daylight savings switch. It was also mentioned at the Welcome Aboard Show. We also had a scheduled port day on Day 2, so that would've been important to know for anyone booking an independent excursion. SadieN Posted February 28, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 28, 2014 (edited) The reminder to change your clocks will be in your ship's daily paper. Edited February 28, 2014 by SadieN
tigereye Posted February 28, 2014 #6 Share Posted February 28, 2014 Isn't it March 9 ? Whose worried about what day you get off, anyway? The day you get on is the BIGGIE
irishnyc Posted February 28, 2014 #7 Share Posted February 28, 2014 It works the same as when you're at home. I don't understand the confusion.
Homosassa Posted February 28, 2014 #8 Share Posted February 28, 2014 If you are disembarking on Sunday and you have a sea day on Saturday, time switch may be done Friday night (2 AM Saturday morning) so that everyone is already on the correct time the day before. This is how it was done on cruises that we have been on in either the fall or spring that ended on the Sunday that the clocks were changed.
