How much damage did you do?

I would say $500-1000 for everything extra. Excursions. Shopping. Arcade. Drinks. Including travel/airport extras.

Two adults and five kids.

Auto-tips and a picture, because it was really good. Don't remember the exact amount, but less than $100, I think.

We usually DIY the ports and drink our permitted carry-on beverages, so on-board charges are typically just tips, a photo or 2, and some internet.

First one was about $800. OUCH! I was new to cruising & didnt realize how fast the drinks add up :). After that I prepaid excursions, drink packages, etc. The last one I bought a camera on board (My SO tried to talk me out of it..we saw the same one in port the next day for $150 cheaper ), so that set me back, was about $800 also. I'm not one for watching the $$$, If I'm having fun & can afford it, then its worth it to me. I can only cruise at most twice a year until I retire, I'm sure when I go more often, then I'll be watching the $$$ more closely.

Usually under 200.00. We have a kid so we let him play about $40 in the arcade, then bottles of booze to take home, and 4 to 6 cartons of cigarettes. Now that we've both quit smoking that should save us a pretty penny:D. Expecting a bill under 125.00 on next cruise.

Sitting here looking at our last S & S bill..It was $326.76. There were 4 adults and we had $100 in OBC. We didn't prepay our gratuities so of that amount $322.00 goes to gratuities leaving a spending of $4.76 :D Oh excursions were paid ahead of time..

We spend $500-800 extra even though we prepay most of our excursions and gratuities. I don't worry about it. I budget an extra $1,000 for the two of us that way we are happy when we get our bill. I keep an eye on the account throughout the week but don't worry about it too much.

Last cruise my S&S charges were exactly $1.50 for two minutes of internet (forgot to download my highly anticipated Kindle book before leaving home!)

Typical charges are in the $100 range... a few drinks, a candy snack for the kidlets, maybe a photo or a souvenir.

Our largest-ever S&S was around $450 for a 15-night sailing.

I can BET it was from the casino.... That's how it shows up on a S & S bill..

It was from the Casino. I would put money on the room to play and put the money in the safe at the room. I try to maximize the double points offer on the Carnival Card. I paid if off as soon as we got home from the $9250.00 i brought home. This was almost enough to get $50 OBC for the next one.
