Advice needed re: "Sweet 16" on Connie

I just reserved cabin 6028 on the Connie for the May 16, 2015 Italy and Croatia cruise. While I'm really happy to have one of the "sweet 16" with it's great balcony, I'm now a bit worried that we'll be bothered by the smoking area on deck 5. Any advice from those who have had these cabins? Thanks!

A couple of years ago on Millie, we had the corner end sweet sixteen cabin (6030), on the starboard (smoking) side. Never had a problem smelling smoke from the public areas below -- and I'm pretty sensitive to cigarette smoke. The views from our balcony were so great that we spent a lot of time out there. You're going to love having a sweet sixteen cabin!

No need for concern.

Your cabin is over the back of the theater.

There is no smoking area below you.

Besides, you will be on the starboard side of the ship and smoking on Connie is on the port side.

My BIL loves this cabin because there is a clear view upwards to the sky. Great for star-gazing and for sunning!

He carefully selected it on the Constellation after studying at photos and deck plans, and chose it again for an upcoming cruise on the Millennium.

I had 2026 on the Summit. We spelled smoke on the first sea-day but am

pretty sure it came from another balcony not from any smoking area.

We did not smell smoke at any other time from our balcony.

I will go on cruise lines that allow balcony smoking . I just won't get a balcony on them.:p
