Nice review Geri! You didn't lie when you said it wouldn't take long for you to get it done. It was great spending some time with you, Terry and Stacey. I will confirm that it took a very long time to get coffee that last night. It took away some quality casino time;).

You made it home safely I presume. We were very happy to meet you and your family it was a lot of fun. I called ncl for the heck of it just to see what I might be entitled to for a future cruise to my surprise I entitled to a "free" oceanview cabin I have to convince my hubby to go. When's your next cruise?

We're waiting for another semi-free cruise offer. Maybe I should call NCL too. They may want some of their money back:D. We would love to go on another cruise with you.

Maybe we can plan that. Do you have the number for CAS?

I tried calling, but they told me I would have to call the Miami office and they are not open at night. I might try tomorrow. Any idea how many points you earned?

Don't the points correspond to the amount of money you put into the machines? Or is it it how much money you lose?

Are those the jewelry ladies in that first picture - they all are wearing jewelry. JK

I was actually the one who asked Prem during the M&G the question about whether the staff could keep the tips if they were given them. From your picture you must have been sitting at the table during the m&g with a few other ladies - sorry I didn't get to meet you. I also talked briefly to mking and someone named Greg I think. We talked about the rocket launch which unfortunately got cancelled.

What was the answer to the question about the tips? I hope they can keep them!

Yes, they do keep them. I wonder if a waiter that also has a busboy/assistant shares some of the tip.

Technically our next one is in August when we go on DCL Fantasy. We've been on the other DCL ships so we are rounding out the fleet.

As far as beyond that, TBD. How about you.

I'm really trying to convince my husband to go with me. I thought I might try a smaller ship next time maybe the sky or the sun for a four day to get him to go that might be my only option getting him to go for seven days will be hard. I did call NCL to see what my options are as far as complementary cabins I am entitled to a complementary ocean view on either of those ships. Of course i would upgrade and thinking about a suite so I can entice him to maybe go on a longer cruise. We shall see his work schedule is so hard. Have you been on one of the smaller ships on NCL?

Yes, the "Breakaway" is great~~went on her last October to Bermuda~~next cruise~~October on the "Gem" for 11-days! I cruise solo~~my husband likes to stay home~~would not get on a cruise ship ever!:)

Hi how did you enjoy your cruise on the breakaway to Bermuda? I am going on the breakaway to Bermuda September 2015... I am sailing solo and staying in one of the studio cabins? I dont want to pay the double occupany...so i figured i would try one of these cabins out... plus you get to meet other people sailing solo...as you have access to the private lounge...and anyway you dont spend all of your time in your cabin.... so i figured what the heck, let me try it out...

How was the weather when you were there? Did you hit any rough seas out on the Atlantic Ocean? Give me some suggestions on excursions in Bermuda...I am going to purchase the 3 day bus/ferry pass so i can go all over the island...also i was reading about a beach day pass at a resort called cocoa reef resort.... you get access to all of their facilities plus two course lunch...including a glass of wine.... i think the package cost for the day $59...

Also one last question....i am going to be using my bank debit card.... how much of a hold do they put on the card? I dont want to use my credit card...as i use that for emergencies...

Catherine. I used my debit card. They said they were putting a $300 hold but when I checked my bank a couple days later there was no hold as far as I could see. When I returned home on Sunday I still saw nothing. On Tuesday morning there was one amount for the total I spent on board deducted. Was a breeze using my debit card. I have no idea why some people say it's a pain.

Great location of this room I can vouch! I stayed in the same room last August when we went to Bermuda? If you remember who was your room steward?? We are leaving this Sunday on this sailing but we are staying in room 14726 next door this time!

We've been on the Sun to the Baltics. We were originally to be on the Jewel and then they changed the ship. The Star is now sailing the Baltics. Lots of people like the Sun - it did have very nice suites and mini suites but it is an older ship and since we have kids not a lot for them to do but it didn't matter on that trip much since we got to go to so many interesting ports. The Sky is very similar to the Sun but a bit older as I recall. I think Sky is the only one doing 3 and 4 day cruises on a regular basis.

The Spirit is a beautiful ship - it is older too but very elegant inside.

Art did you call NCL today? We don't need to wait for a certificate anymore seems like

Geri, I was able to get a free inside cabin on 3 or 4 day cruises to the Bahamas or on transatlantic repositioning cruises. Guess I'll wait for a total rewards offer.

We (Leslie & Ed) were on this trip too. We did the m&g which was good to put faces with names. Our first day started out a little rocky, food wise, maybe just us. As the week went on had some great meals. Did Cagney's and brazillian steak house. Server had desserts sent to our room for later, when couldn't finish them at restaurant because of to full.

The staff was wonderful, everyone was friendly and helpful. I like Geri C. spent a little too much time in the Casino, did win a bit but gave it back :) Easy off the ship, up and on the way home in less than hour. Safe trip back to MD. The only thing we wished was more daytime activities at sea, first run movies, tours, etc. When the weather wasn't participating the casino was :( Wonderful ship for kids, the upper deck had so much for them to do.

This was our 12th cruise, 2nd on NCL. Asked by many if we would go on BA again, yes we would.

We did the Bermuda cruise last June and bought the 3 day ferry/bus pass. We took the ferry to St. George and took the free tour and watched the re-enactment of the dunking of the town gossip (very entertaining). We then worked our way back to the ship via bus (a few stops along the way) and the ferry from Hamilton. We also took the bus to some beaches. The only ship excursion we did was a boat tour of the homes of the rich and famous. The guide was very informative and provided a lot of laughs.

Our first full day at sea was stormy with 11 to 20 foot waves and the ship handled it well. Every now and then people reacted to a sudden movement of the ship, but it never got too bad. Maybe it was the bonine, but it didn't bother us.
