Obstructed View Balconies

A view from deck 6 or 7? If I am working my way from the far end of the ship towards the foreground properly after counting down from deck 14, it looks like deck 7, but when I look at where the top o the davits are, it throws me off. I guess you need to compare it to other photos...

I would say deck 6. On all the straight on view shots the davits extend to the top of deck 6 while the lifeboats only go partway up deck 6.

I would be excited if it was deck 6 but yes due to them nit breaching the top I think it's deck 7 :(

Since I was looking at some cabins on the UK site which is a pain in the butt :rolleyes: I decided to share some of the percentages I found here. I wish RCCL would put out a list or they had let us know from the beginning that the percentages were going to be so high! :mad:. I guess we will live with a DO cabin since it would be a small fortune to upgrade to the next level.

Can you switch cabins? That's what I did.

 

I see your from the UK. I would ask them to waive any change fees as you are just switching cabins in the same category and that you would like a 50% obstructed view as opposed to the 75% obstructed view that you are currently in. Tell them that the information was not made available to you at the time of booking. Definitely worth a try.

Thank you, Lloyd. The video does look better than some of the pictures, it is those davits directly in front of those balconies that are really disappointing.

 

The obstruction percentages should have been listed from the moment bookings were made available. Additionally, those cabins with the davits basically covering the full view probably should have been listed under a separate category....one below a "DO" for less money.
