Getting To Terminal in Broklyn

DW and I are considering taking the Royal Princess out of NY for FLL in October. We plan on either taking the train or bus from Maine to NY. What might be out best options for getting from either the Port Authority where the bus would come in or Penn Station where the train would come in?

We are doing that cruise. If we train in we are taking a taxi to port. Same with a bus. :)

I suggest a car service such as DIAL7.

 

o Reasonable fixed price

 

o They can find their way to the port (many taxi drivers cannot)

I am on that cruise as well. I would also recommend Dial 7, I have used them in the past to get from my home on long island to the Brooklyn pier.

We're going to use a car service either straight from NJ or from the hotel in NYC (it all depends on if there is any show we want to see in NY, we'll go in a night early..)

 

Based on my research, a car service is not that much more expensive than a cab, and if you are on a scheduled train they will meet you at Penn station.

 

Do NOT use any of the black cars that do free pickups around Penn Station. Pre-Book.

We have found that a car service is by far the most convenient, comfortable, and, economical mode of transfer. Generally, it is less cost than a taxi or a Princess shuttle for almost any transfer to or from a port to an airport, train station, etc.

And the meter in NYC is not your friend. :(
