Electrics in the cabin

Could someone kindly tell me..... can we bring our on hairdryers, hair irons are we allowed to use in the cabins????? RCCL liberty is the ship we are on and extra electrical sockets for multi use iPhone, iPad laptop can we bring a extension or is this a silly request

Most cruise lines provide blow dryers that draw less power, so that they are safer.

some people are reporting that the cruiselines are taking their extension cords and multiple chargers.

 

IPhone, and laptop really will be no good on the ship. the ipohone will be using ships towers and will be charged accordingly. Keep in airplane mode if you are using it. Laptop-- if you buy the internet minutes -- the connection is reallllll slowwww

Extension cords and so-called Q plugs are generally not a problem. However, the cords that have surge protectors can play havoc with a ship's electrical system. Accordingly, some lines have started seizing even extension cords that look like they have a surge protector. It seems to be hit or miss. We usually take an extension cord and have never had an issue on any cruise (and we stopped counting after the first 60 cruises).

You certainly may bring your own hair appliances...I ALWAYS do.

 

I plug and unplug as needed...never needed more outlets or extension cords, unless you need something at/on the bed. The plug is on the vanity, across from the bed.
