Thank you Jenn for your wonderful picture review of Tortola and Virgin Gorda. Reading it I got a bit teary-eyed because those places are very close to my heart: I visited them on my very first cruise in 2000,and had been overwhelmed by their sheer beauty. Until then I had no idea that places like that even exist (I had moved to Canada from central Europe a decade before that, and it was my first Caribbean trip ever). Since than I managed to do 16 more cruises, but that huge impression of the Baths of Virgin Gorda will stay with me forever.:D

Awesome review and thanks for sharing the kids club information. I have been worried that my kids are not going to enjoy the divina but after reading your comments I think we will be all good.

Great review....quick question?....did the shore excursion desk say anything about why the website showed the cabanas as sold out and yet there were ones available...I am wondering if the website just always shows sold out and it's up to the individuals to approach once onboard........I would rather like to get one up front and know it's secured because I went to NCL website and they look amazing...........thanks

Aussie, the cabana excursion for our trip on August 23rd showed as being sold out as well. I called my pvc and he was able to reserve one for me. I had to pre-pay the $250.00 up front though. We are staying in the Yacht Club so I'm not sure if MSC holds a few cabanas for Yacht Club members or not, but I would call MSC and speak to a pvc and see if there may be some available for your sailing.

I just wanted to add that I noticed on another thread that MSC cruises facebook answered a question someone had posted.........so I went to that site and asked about the cabanas......because it was Sunday...and they were "offline"....and they answered first thing this am and then let me know they had opened up some more cabanas and I was able to go online and book it.......so I will let you all know if you have any questions....just go to their facebook page and private message..........they answered all of my questions quickly and thoroughly......

I totally agree....their website is not very user friendly.....not compared to the other lines...and I've cruised over 36 cruises now......but the price was too great not to jump on........and we were docked next to her in Miami on the Reflection this past March..........and she looked very nice......but having this avenue to contact someone and get answers was amazing and very productive.............

I am guessing they don't release all of the cabanas for booking on their website - I never asked. They also showed 0 excursions on their website for Tortola - but we were able to book one once on board. Agreed that their website needs work - but they have always been quick to answer via email and social media :)

Hi J- great review! So happy to read a positive review from a Disney cruiser...tough to beat their shows, service, private island ( best IMO), cabins, and MDR & PALO are soooo good...but looks like I'll have to try the Divina thanks to you...

Thanks for the great review & the pictures. I am going on MSC Divina in Dec. It will be my first cruise with MSC. I am taking my 11 year old DD & was a little worried about the kids club. So I was glad to read you're review. Good information for families!

  • 2 weeks later...

So, the next day was a sea day - and we did a lot of swimming - we went to the casino and I won a small amount. TIP: You will get 10 of free play if you play 10 on a slot machine - so I played my $20 and that was it.

I did order a specialty coffee – and I have to tell you – they totally vacuumed all around me! Haha they are so clean.

The coffee was nice and the space was quiet mid afternoon, aside from the vacuum

Not too many pictures of the day but it was second formal night. The MDR was serving filet and lobster but we decided to try EATALY!

But first I decided to get some family portraits done since we have zilch for the past few years.

Then the kids went to dinner with their respective clubs and we were on our way to Eataly

One of the best filets EVER

Strip Steak was okay – not cooked to desired temp (overcooked a bit)

Baked Potato

No dessert – I was stuffed! The food was great and there were not many people in there at 6pm when we were.
