Christine Cruisin Posted June 19, 2004 #1 Share Posted June 19, 2004 I received a quote for $40pp for lunch and one drink on the properties private island. Anyone tried this?
Got2Cruise Posted June 19, 2004 #2 Share Posted June 19, 2004 That seems a bit high, since you can get a day pass at the Allegro for $45 which includes unlimited drinks. Christine Cruisin Posted June 19, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted June 19, 2004 I'm looking in to the Allegro. $$$-wise it sounds like a better deal. Is the beach very nice and calm and not too crowded? Is the property pretty close to the cruise dock (i.e. it's not going to cost a fortune via taxi to get there?). I just love private islands, Sandals in Nassau has one that we practically lived on! Got2Cruise Posted June 24, 2004 #4 Share Posted June 24, 2004 The Allegro is located on Palm Beach which is where all the other big hotels are. The beach will probably be slightly crowded, but if you are going in the off-season it shouldn't be too bad. If you don't want to pay for a cab, the public bus takes you from the pier to all of the hotels for minimal cost. There are other posts on this board that gives the details. pholter Posted July 26, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 26, 2004 I didn't realize that the question I had posted was answered here. I want to go to this beach cuz it's the only place I can find in Aruba that allows Nude sunbathing and is Adults only.... The pictures I've seen online are pretty wonderful, too. Snackdaddy Posted September 28, 2004 #6 Share Posted September 28, 2004 Greetings, I received the following information from Marriott regarding day passes at the Renaissance Aruba Resort and Casino. "The hotel offers passes to the hotel's private island. The cost is $ 50.00 U.S. per person, which includes the transport to and from the Island, a lunch with beverage and all the non-motorized water sports (including snorkeling, kyacking also access to tennis courts). The shuttle runs from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. every 15-20 minutes from the lobby of the hotel." I hope this helps.

linzeelou Posted October 11, 2004 #8 Share Posted October 11, 2004 Has anyone tried the Wyndham in Aruba for a day pass?
cmjaffe Posted October 12, 2004 #9 Share Posted October 12, 2004 Do they offer a day pass? Also the Radison is also another choice location on Palm Beach... not sure if they offer an AI feature for day passes. Carolyn
linzeelou Posted October 13, 2004 #10 Share Posted October 13, 2004 I am not sure if the Wyndham offers a day pass or not. I have sent them an e-mail asked for information about it, but I haven't heard back yet.
