Option...

 

1. Either Legend or Miracle

 

2. Paradise remains alone 4 and 5 day cruises

 

3. Paradise adds 7 day cruises too

 

4. Another Fantasy Class ships joins Paradise

 

5. Carnival opts to build another BIG SHIP FRIENDLY port on the other side of the Sunshine Skyway.

 

I'm really hoping that third option of mine isn't coming true now that the Legend and Miracle will be elsewhere.:(

We prefer being in balcony cabins and 7 day cruises aboard the Paradise just won't do it for us. I can't see me paying suite prices just to get one. If things pan out the way it's looking, then Carnival is nudging me in the direction of RCI or NCL. Maybe this is some power play by Carnival trying to force the hand of the Tampa area into building a new port.

Good thing Tampa is located in Florida so there are lots of other ports to chose from nearby! Pt. Canaveral is only a 2 hour drive and has lots and lots of options for 6,7,8 day cruises, and balconies, so no big loss for Tampa.

If so that absolutely sucks, like I mentioned earlier I wanted to get married on a Carnival ship, in our home town (so all my family could come) and I am not a fan of the Paradise. Darn it.

Nothing bigger than Spirit Class will fit under the Skyway. Unless they re-shuffle Pride or Spirit back to Tampa there really isn't an option.

Big ships don't fit under the bridge, so that's not going to happen.

 

Spirit class are it and all 4 are now booked for 2015 in other places.

 

So Tampa can only have Fantasy class ships. Drive to one of the numerous other Florida ports!

Tampa is a dying cruise port. I doubt HAL will send anything our way. Maybe RCL or NCL will take this opportunity to put a year-round ship here to cash in on Carnivals loss? Sad face:(

Yep. JH answered my question and said no ship for 7 days cruises next year.

HAL just pulled out of Tampa 2 months ago; the Ryndam was just sold too.
