Ventura fly/cruise flight times please

Hi everyone

 

We are thinking about booking one if these fly/cruises aboard Ventura around Italy. Either from Geneo or Venice

Can anyone tell me what time flights leave from Gatwick or Manchester please

We are coming from Ireland so would prob need to come day before

It depends on which flight you get booked as there will be more than one flight. They do leave early, though, from 6am onwards.

Our daughter is off in a couple of weeks sailing from Venice, flying into Marco

Polo from LGW, yes early start 6.30 am flight, and from memory a mid morning

flight back to London from Venice on 14 nighter.( Its a Thomas Cook flight

cruise only passengers.)

We did Genoa to Genoa in April. Flight out was from Gatwick to Genoa approx 6.30 am and return flight was from Nice at 5 pm. Nice coach trip from Genoa to Nice. Left ship around noon.

Many different times, we leave Bournemouth at 10am to Genoa and our return flight is 2pm.

Our flight on 23 Sept leaves at 8.15.

 

We are having to stay in airport hotel the night before

Nelder we are flying from Manchester on july9 for 7 nights flying to genoa we fly at 8.25 am hope this helps.

Manchester to Genoa

Our flight is on the 1st Oct leaving at 8.25, arriving 11.45 then coming home its leaving at 12.40, arriving back in Manchester at 14.00. This is the Thomas Cook charter plane.

When you consider that there are 3000 passengers on Ventura and a A320 plane has 180 seats and a B757 235 seats you can work out how many planes are needed. Not all 3000 will be getting off at the same time as some will be on for 14 nights but there would be at least 1500 at each changeover.

Yes and even more during the school hols :)

 

At least 8 flights on average

 

imagine turning the ship around on 1 day, they would need 16 flights :eek:

 

which is maybe why they have 2 home ports

was on the Manchester to Genoa 6am flight told to be at the airport 3 hours before, the return flight we left the ship at 7.30 am.

there are other flights later but three left very close together at Manchester.

 

would recommend Venice as the airport is far superior to Genoa airport.

 

Some passengers to Genoa went via Nice which is a 75 minute plus transfer.

 

At Genoa we were packed in with not enough seating, but at least we did not have to check in our luggage as on charter flights they are collected the night before and you next see them on the carousel.

We booked thru Imagine and are flying from Manchester to Genoa via Paris which is a pain but our only other option was to travel to Gatwick. We have a hotel in Genoa both before and after the cruise.

We are flying from Manchester to Venice for Ventura cruise on 08/10/14 and have been given our flight times as 06:30

Got off Ventura earlier today. We took a private taxi at 09:30 from the ship for the 11.35 flight to LGW. Outbound we didn't want a stupid o' clock start so we flew out to venice the evening before.
