Majesty is brill

Recommended Posts

Just off Majesty June 20th.Wanted to let you all know she is in great form looking spick and span and you can see through all the clean and clear windows(Dirty misted up windows one of my pet hates)Great ports of call on Adriatic explorer ,probably best itinery we have done.Entertainment excellent with Muzic Unlimited and brilliant show team .Very funny comic Maxwell Plumb but you have to be cute to get into the late gig so don't go to the early show.Be in the queue outside of the theatre by 9.30 and you will be ok to watch the second show and then stay on.sadly the trio in Royal Fireworks were the one weak link .They were pretty awful. Both England World Cup matches were shown live while we were on which was great except for the results.Loads of new sun beds (not as comfy as those on deck7) but the fact you can always get a bed is great.Food was as good as ever both in MDR and self serve with the new pizza San Marco being very smart. All the crew were lovely.Corfu airport still too small for the large number of passengers passing through but have to say Thomson organize things as good as is possible.great week now looking forward to the next.

Jim no need to rub it in about the England results. Was just our luck the satellite link went down just before Uruguay scored their second goal so by the link was restored it was all over.San Marco reopened on our first day after it's update and it's brill.Cafe royale is now one side only and pretty quiet as most folk are in San Marco .We only used San Marco for breakfast and lunch but were always able to find a table..

Does anyone have a new bar menu. Also which day is % off day in duty free shop. Think the small duty free shop at Corfu port will still be the cheapest. Thirteen weeks on Friday, coming around.

Hi fife

% off day is sailing day in. fact we had two % off days in a one week cruise.Dont know what your looking for duty free wise but for cigs or tobacco the duty free shop at Corfu port is best although Thomson % off is good

We were on the week after you Dave and agree with everything you've said (except the football):). Never had a problem getting a sunbed even on day at sea but why did they still put out old ones when there were piles of new ones all tied up? Also really liked the new San Marco and had no difficulty getting a table. We were actually wondering if the ship was full as it seemed a bit quiet at times! The showteam were brilliant, so energetic! Don't know how they do that twice a night! We had Maurice Grumbleweed who was ok. His second show was not as good as his first. A bar menu accidentally fell into my case;) but I don't know how to put it on here so if any one needs to know prices just ask. We are just back tonight as our second week was a stay in Corfu at the Louis Corcyra Beach Hotel which I can highly recommend!

Hi Linda, hope this works!

The hotel is every bit as nice as it looks on the video and has been refurbished since then. The extensive gardens are very well kept, with lots of flower beds, and they slope right down to the water's edge so you can have your sun bed on the grass, on the man made beach or by the pool. There are plenty of them! The food is very good in the main restaurant and each of the pools has a buffet for lunch and afternoon snacks. On the AI you just help yourself to beer, wine, soft drinks and water, all on tap! Spirits and cocktails are included too from the bar. I would definitely go for a sea view room, the view of the bay is beautiful. The evening entertainment is quite low key but pleasant enough to listen to. The facilities for children are excellent. There is not a lot within walking distance but there are shops and restaurants just outside the hotel in the village and Corfu town is about 8km away.

Yes Jim, we had seen him on the Dream and he still does that thing of mentioning all those venues in the North of England which most if us had never heard of. It's wearing a bit thin.

Really liked the hotel, hope yours is as good.

And he expects you to cheer if you're from there or thereabouts  Then throw in the name dropping of all the people 'I've been lucky enough to work with', the same old gags (not many of them though), the sacchrine songs and you really have to wonder what IS his act? He really is past his sell by imo. We plan to go to the Bistro if he's on!
