check your rates... yesterday we got a $274 price drop the 1/2 year sale and today another $74 senior rates.. (first time using that ever ) Thank goodness i had my wits about me when i booked and put one kid in each room so they got the senior price drop too :D

 

I did this for 3 rooms so we saved quite bit and we could not get early saver when we booked this cruise over a year ago..

Can someone please explain the price drop policy or procedures please? Does it only apply if booked through Carnival or does it also apply if you hqve booked through a TA. Looking at our Dec 2014 cruise. Many thanks

If you booked through a TA, you have to go through them -- sometimes they will adjust your rate, sometimes they will not, citing already-realized perks and discounts for booking through them. :rolleyes:

 

If you booked directly through Carnival, via PVP or online, you can check your fare using the Fare Viewer and then do one of two things: fill out the online fare adjustment form, or call them. A reminder that you have to compare apples to apples -- make sure it is your cabin type.

 

If you booked Early Saver, you can claim the fare reduction up until a couple days before sail date; if you are after your final payment date they will award you OBC. If you booked another fare, you can only claim the reduction before final payment.

We saved $300 yesterday due to the sale, and just now another $120 for the senior rate! YAY!!! More DOD's!! :p:D

Wow, this is the first time I've actually seen a senior rate for any cruise I've booked. But it is still more expensive than when we originally booked it last Feb.
