meatball_nyc Posted July 15, 2014 #27 Share Posted July 15, 2014 We did have the best cruise ever, KC. Thank you! Yes, children can go as well. There are virgin drinks available. Have fun! ~Robin Every Day at Sea is a Great Day
maja651 Posted July 15, 2014 #28 Share Posted July 15, 2014 We went in the ice bar on the a Epic. Personally, I thought the drinks were not very good, and it was absolutely freezing! Maybe I am a wimp because I am from Arizona, but I could not stop shaking, I only lasted a few minutes. Lol
Rare All-ready2cruise Posted July 15, 2014 #29 Share Posted July 15, 2014 (edited) I think the most important thing is to wear socks and closed toed shoes. Your feet will be on ice too and they will "wick" that cold right up to the top of your head. LOL, too funny, just imagine, those in the north east and mid west pretty much freezing all winter and here you are on a cruise going into a deep freeze not unlike what they're experiencing at home. Brrrrrrrrrrrrr  Edited July 15, 2014 by All-ready2cruise
maja651 Posted July 15, 2014 #30 Share Posted July 15, 2014 Yeah, the ice bar pretty much taught me no way in hell would I ever live in a cold climate! I am cold when it is below 70!
sverigecruiser Posted July 16, 2014 #31 Share Posted July 16, 2014 We were ick about the coats, too, but no bug could live in 17* for 45 minutes (I am hoping). There is only one ice chair to sit on. No other seats like a bar seat. We got used to it pretty fast because it was lower than 17* for most of the winter this year. ~Robin Norwegian Breakaway July 2014 Carnival Miracle 2010 Carnival Legend 2006 It's not 17* inside the coat where a bug might be so they can probably live there much longer than 45 minutes! If someone enjoy the drinks and the climate, it's possibly to buy more drinks. When we were on the Epic there was no timelimit so people could stay there as long as they wanted.
