pmb1 Posted August 1, 2014 #76 Share Posted August 1, 2014 So by that logic leaving on Friday and arriving on Saturday would be a two day sail? ;)Certainly, Friday is day 1 and Saturday is day 2, provided you leave early enough on Friday and you arrive late enough on Saturday and it's 2004. (That NYC to St Maarten jaunt took 2 days 14 hours, and it was all down hill.)
keithm Posted August 1, 2014 #77 Share Posted August 1, 2014 I still have the large brochure on all the cruises available in 2005. They did list a "casual" night where men needed just nice pants & dress shirt with tie(or sweater)optional. I kind of wondered why they "stiffened" the dresscode a bit from that point on. Certainly there were "casual" (no jacket) nights on my first QM2 TA in 2006, but they had vanished by 2007 (if I remember correctly).

One point of view shouted louder than the other. David.
