Theme nights?

Apologies if this has been asked before or is a dumb question!

 

We are sailing on our first cruise in September on Serenade of the Seas, taking in Italy and the Adriatic coast. I know there are 2 - 3 formal nights but does anyone know if there are any themed nights? Or where I might find this out? All our trip documentation is going to my parents who live in another part of the country LOL

A 70s night

Sometimes a white party is the go lately

A country night

Plus deck or island party

 

Can dress up or not

Just have fun

They really don't do themes anymore, and if they did, you'd be hard pressed to find more than a handful of people dressing up in any costume. And for European cruises, theme nights probably won't happen because those itineraries are so busy that most people just aren't up to late night theme parties. You're so tired from touring for hours on end that many just want a good meal, maybe a show and then relaxing for another day of tours.

The "themes" are more to describe the menu, than for "dressing up"...

You might also want to read up on the FAQs for Royal Caribbean on its website. I think sometimes some of the cruiselines have a separate one or a separate entry for some countries, but it would definitely be worth checking out the actual website as it will have a lot of info, including about your ship.

Do these things really exist? Especially with a 20kg luggage allowance.

 

It reminds me of holidays with our children when they were little when we would specifically take dressing up clothes.

 

I have left those days behind.
