12 night, GS to CL?

Allure.

Dawn

Speaking first hand from experience.

In 2013 booked grand suite on allure, upselled to L2 for $700 (total for 3 of us), we were very very happy. We were told it was thru C & A We were Platinum at the time.

In 2014 July 27th. Booked in GS on Allure, upselled to L1 1748 for $600 (total for the 3 of us). We were told it was thru C & A. We were Emerald at this time.

Both were 7 night cruises.

Hope this helps.

What would you pay to go from D-1 hump to JS on the Allure?

Bev

That's a more difficult question because the price of the D varies. However, I would not pay more than $1250pp (before taxes & C&A perks) for a JS on Oasis/Allure.

Thanks for your quick response. I'm just not sure if the extra money is worth the extra space.

The JS is our stateroom of choice, for the extra space. With regard to Oasis/Allure, I favor the JS even more, since I dislike the D balcony layout so much on those ships.

Very tough to answer. I personally love the CL, although I will only stay in an L1. I'm sure the L2's are nice, but I have no interest in sitting on my balcony and staring at the basketball court all week.

That being said, I travel solo, and the CL works out great. With two people, I might actually prefer the closet and bathroom layout of the GS. Also the stairs in the CL are a turn off to some. For me, I love laying in bed and looking down at the water. Can't do that in any suite but a CL!
