ANOTHER Ben & Jerry's "Sweet" thread !!

Recommended Posts

As I mentioned, we were in that cabin last year. I'm looking forward to being in it again next year (also on Independence of the Seas). It was a fun cabin and the perks were great!

My only complaint was the noise of our next door neighbors in the connecting cabin. It wasn't a fault of the cabin itself as much as it was they're (her) yelling so much.

Hey, it's a bucket list thing. Do it once then you can be an expert like the rest of us. :D

Good to know you didn't experience sleepless nights from the banging service door, although yelling neighbors wouldn't be too pleasant either :(

We were in the B&J Sweet on Liberty last December. I'm a light sleeper and was concerned from all the comments I'd read but was still excited about the cabin. DH didn't hear a thing and I only heard a muffled door slam 3-4 times in 4 nights. I may have already been waking up anyway so I wouldn't say it was a problem at all, any more than any other cabin where you can hear someone's door slam down the hall late at night.

The perks were fun. We especially liked being escorted off the ship early at disembarkation. That helped us get on our way sooner as we had a distance to drive.

That's a great perk! I know we get "cowcierge" lounge access with the Sweet. Is this just in the evening for drinks or can we have access other times during the day? I doubt we'll ever have the opportunity to book a full suite so we'd like to take full advantage while we can. Do you tip per drink/per day, or at the end of your cruise?

Again, thanks everyone for all the feedback. I'm starting to feel much better about our cabin choice :D

Biscuits and cheese through day and hourdurves at night

Lu's coffee machine for best coffee on the ship

The concierge on FOS would not allow that, he was very particular about how our benefits were not exactly the same as suite guests

dancinman answered your other questions. For tips we've done it both ways. Which ever way is easier for you. We tip the concierge separately, especially if he/she has done anything special for us.

Happy to see you booked and eagerly anticipating another cruise! One of these days we'll manage a DFW M&G and actually manage to meet! :)

just subscribing to the thread, there was another B&J Sweet thread but this seems to be getting used more now. I'm on it on the FOS next summer, yay!

Just FYI, there's a way to do that without posting - go to the top of the thread, to "Thread Tools" and when you click, one of the options is "Subscribe to this thread."

Mind you, I'm NOT complaining that you posted to subscribe, just providing some hopefully useful information! Enjoy the "Sweet", and your cruise! :)

We are booked for the Sweet in November!!! :D I had to explain it to my travel agent. When I told her what room I wanted because it was the B&J Sweet, she quickly told me it wasn't a suite but just a promenade room. Told her to look on YouTube. I don't know what I would have done without CC. I would have never known about this room! Trying to figure out what to take to leave as a token. I have a little cow statue in jammies.

We're booked in the B&J Sweet, along with the connecting room with my daughter, her husband and our sweet granddaughter. She'll be 18 months, so they allow a third person infant with pack n'play. This is only a 2-night cruise and probably as much as I could stand with the decor, but thought it would be fun for a short cruise.

Just nabbed the elusive Cow Sweet. I'm really excited to get a chance to be in my home away from home. From my screen name, I'm sure you all can tell why. LOL I could probably completely decorate the space from my private collection.

Am I reading correct that folks "do" take something to add to the collection, if they choose to? I have some magnetic cow clips that I could leave behind & they would be functional yet not fill up priceless storage space.

Ha! Ha! Dizzy, I was just about to forward this to you. Since I'm in the connecting cabin, I'll try to not yell and scream; and I guess ear plugs might be included in my packing list for the noise outside our windows as well as the slamming doors. Sis, hope we can figure out how to share some of these perks.

Well, hello there! If looks like you're in the "Sweet" for the sailing after we're in there. Congratulations on getting it, and so soon before sailing. You must be very lucky!

If you want a preview of that cabin, here's what it looked like two years ago.

Our Dallas thread really isn't all that active. Maybe one day....

I decided to put all of this Ben & Jerry's Sweet anxiety out of my mind. By the time we cruise it will be the first one in almost 3 years so I intend to enjoy every single second. Funny how that door banging is so evident to some and yet others are hardly aware of it.

Daghis, thanks for the preview video. I saw one almost exactly like that one but taken on the Liberty. I'll leave a cow chachki to add to the collection. I wonder how often if ever, those throws and stuffed cows are sanitized. This is what I think of. I know, I know, I'm weird.
