wripro Posted September 9, 2014 #26 Share Posted September 9, 2014 I'm feeling generous so I would even say thirty minutes. But after that all belongings should be removed and the chaise freed for others to occupy.
Emperor Norton Posted September 9, 2014 #27 Share Posted September 9, 2014 (edited) I usually wait 30-40 minutes while doing laps. So I don't believe it's a head call. Pop-I Posted September 10, 2014 #28 Share Posted September 10, 2014 I don't know for how long anyone watches a sunrise but if the towel draper/book & sunglasses leaver doesn't use the chaise he shouldn't reserve it. Maybe 15 minutes is long enough to gauge intentions. But I do believe that 15 minutes is long enough to use the loo, unless someone is ill. If so, then they don't need a chaise. They need to see the ship's doctor. Viruses are contagious. Happy sailing! Poor Norty apparently watches the lounges for 30 or 40 minutes. I had asdumedhe just came on deck and did a sweep without regard to whether items were left 2 minutes ago or 40 minutes ago. That Norty sure does kniw how to have a good time
bradtarga34 Posted November 2, 2014 #29 Share Posted November 2, 2014 When we were on the Sojourn the barman would remove towels and any personal items, the usual book or sunscreen that people put out to try and reserve a lounger, and hold them behind the bar. He would normally give them about 30 minutes or so and I thought that was a totally fair way to deal with the situation.
markham Posted November 3, 2014 #30 Share Posted November 3, 2014 Bravo to the Sojourn barman for his execution of a commonsense and fair way of resolving this silly and selfish habit. I hope it's official Seabourn policy now and implemented on all the ships. Happy sailing!
