Hi everyone! I'm Kari. We have booked this cruise in celebration of my 40th birthday. This is a girls cruise. Me and some girlfriends! I've cruised with hubby and with the girls. I can't wait to introduce my kids to cruising someday. We are from central Illinois. Can't wait to chat with you all!

Hi everyone... DH John and I are considering this cruise to wrap up 30 days of cruising prior to this, starting with a Vancouver > FLL Grand Panama (just the two of us), then the Breeze 8 day on Oct 10th with a very fun and crazy group of about 14 of us. This 6-dayer might be a good idea to wind down before heading back up here to chilly Canada. :)

We'll know in the next week or so if we're going to add it on. Already sounds like a fun group of people are booked for this leg! :)

Hi Celine !!! WOW what a month you guys will have. My husband and I sailed in October with a bunch of our friends.... no kids. It had it's UPS and downs you could say  lol BUT for the most part it was a BLAST !! :p

I can't wait for this sailing though been wanting to check out the BREEZE since she came out. I feel with every cruise I take away more with knowing what to do and not to do, makes for a better experience each time.

Has anyone sailed on the BREEZE before ?? If it was mentioned already... sorry I'm blonde at times  Hahaha

We sailed the breeze in Feb 2013 and LOVED her!!! Over 3000 guests and never felt crowded anywhere. Great water park area for the kids. That is why we choose this ship for our family cruise (i.e. Kids, kids-in-law and grand-kids)!!!!

I'm totally creeping on this page to see what kind of activity is going on! I'm hoping to book this cruise but I have to hold off since I could possibly be in a wedding during the sailing. I'm at the mercy of the bride! I'm anxiously awaiting her date! As of right now it's looking like she is leaning towards Winter 16' but nothing is even near set in stone.

I was on the Breeze last month for the 6 nighter and I CANNOT wait to get back on her!!! We celebrated our honeymoon/1st anniversary on the ship, so I'm hoping to make it a yearly tradition! We had a rough go at it though. A couple of medical emergencies really screwed up the itinerary and we missed Grand Cayman completely due to wind and high seas. None the less we had a blast! We had a cove balcony (2283), it looks like that room is already booked but the one next to it isn't. It was a perfect location for us, right by the elevators. LOVED IT. Well I just wanted to say hi! I will check back in when I am hopefully booked!! :D

Hello- Hello- HELLO bbrooks !!! Nothing wrong with a little lurking ;) I totally do that as well when I'm about to book... roll calls can be A LOT of FUN when you get a good group and a real downer when it's not so good.... I've experienced both. VERY happy to hear you, Tomandjane liked the BREEZE so well. What better way to say you enjoyed it then to re book her right ??!! I've been on the Dream twice and they're in the same class The Dream is my favorite ship so far but I've only been on 4 cruises Lol :p

The last ship we sailed on was the Sunshine Oct. 2014. I enjoyed her, it's smaller.... but I found it was easy to get around. Only thing I was disappointed in really was the nightclub. Their Liquid Lounge transforming into the nightclub around 12ish which only left a couple hrs before closing.... then we found most nights they didn't even open at all. They offered nightclub only 3-4 nights out of a 8 day cruise. If I had my children around this wouldn't of mattered at all BUT HELLO..... NO KIDS.... Ummm vacation, 30-40 years olds acting like we were 20 again..... I NEEDED TO DANCE dang it  Lol Ok, rant over besides that It was just peachy !!

Oh Happy FRI-YAY btw !!

I have sailed the Dream and the Magic -- I liked the Magic better because it had the Red Frog Pub - we LOVED that place!!!

We will not sail any ship that doesn't have the spa cabins - we've become addicted to Cloud 9 spa and spend every late afternoon winding down there before dinner - GREAT way to finish the days :D

bbrooks -- what did your itinerary end up being?? We missed GC and Jamaica when we sailed the Magic - we ended up in Key West and Costa Maya -- not exactly the same thing - LOL - but we made the most of it! Being sailors ourselves, Brian and I are very familiar with having to change itineraries due to weather or other emergencies.

We are looking forward to finally getting to both Jamaica and GC on this trip - don't care about Cozumel as this will be the third visit.

We booked through the company themselves and we did the private tour; we just told them what we were interested in and they suggested an itinerary but everything was completely up to us as to if we wanted to do something and how long we wanted to stay there. They are extremely easy to work with.

Hi Sheryl! Cozumel is the only one of these ports that I have been to. I did two different excursions. Both were through carnival and were private beach houses. Rocky Shores was one and it's adults only. The other is run by the same company, Running Cool, and they are awesome! Drinks were magnificent, plentiful and strong. The chef prepares your meal from scratch and the food is amazing! Great time!

The original plan was Key West, Sea Day, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Sea Day. It ended up being Key West, Cozumel (3PMish-11PM, which wasn't the original plan either), Sea Day, Sea Day (after failed tendering in Grand Cayman), and yet another Sea Day. Not ideal, but there wasn't much we could do about it--- so we enjoyed our time regardless and I'm ready to go again!! :D:D:D

Hi everyone,

After saving $1400 yesterday on our upcoming Feb Triumph B2B, we decided to go ahead and tack on this segment to our Oct 10 Breeze cruise, turning it into a B2B as well. LOVE extended cruises!! Now if only I could figure out a way to live on a cruise ship year round, life would be perfect! :D

Winterstale ~ Red Frog Pub was a favorite of ours too. I totally get where you're coming from about the spa rooms, we enjoyed it so much while on the DREAM. LOVED the Thalassotherapy pool the best !!

Loco1969 ~ Which company did you guys go through again for your private tour in Cozumel ?? I've been communicating with "Cozumel Tours by Johann & Sandra" a good bit. They have GREAT reviews and if the had a bad one here and there I liked how they responded and taking care of it. They're fast at getting back with me, been very helpful in answering all my questions too. I'm pretty sure we're going to book with them. They said we could do a private tour with just our family taking us to the Mayan Ruins and Mr. Sanchos. We'll see.... nothing in stone yet ;)

Liz ~ Was "Running Cool" a adult only too ?? With the whole family coming I couldn't do anything like that BUT sounds LOVELY !! My husband & I sail alone sometimes so it's noted ;) Thank you. .

Celine (& John) ~ Woohoo Glad you're offical !!! Congrats on that AWESOME credit.... I never get that lucky Lol I'm soooo with you all.... I could LIVE on a cruise ship too  As a matter of fact someone from our last cruise did the math and said it would be almost cheaper to sail year round vs a paying for a retirement home  Ummm I know which one I want to do in the future :p

Guess what ?? 330 days everyone !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D Have a GREAT weekend.

Happy SUNDAY FUNDAY !!

Ok, I know I'm a bit early with this but Friday I went ahead and sent in a request for the Steakhouse. We enjoyed it so much while on the Dream & Sunshine. Want my children to experience it too, plus we have a special day to celebrate ;) so thought I'd get my request in ASAP to assure that date/time I need.

SUPER fast response !!!!! This morning I had a email CONFIRMING my reservation for the Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse :D

Party of 5 all set for October 19th @ 6:30 pm ( My husband Tony's Birthday ) The time is perfect for us, not to early or late.... it's a sea day so it allows us enough time to do what we want til 5 ish then get ready. When we're done shouldn't be to late to still catch family shows etc... whatever suits Tony's fancy since it is HIS day :)

If anyone is interested in putting in a reservation too, if you don't already know you can go to this web site.

https://secure.carnival.com/activities/controls/steakhouserequest

Heads up if you book the FIRST night October 18th you will receive a bottle of free wine PER couple. Now if you have multiple couples dining together they will try to tell you only 1 bottle per table, they did this to us while on the Sunshine.... of course we had 4 couples and we GOT 4 bottles ;) Just call them on it and they will honor it however, there is only 2 choices of wine they give away free.... a red or a white both are dry. Personally I didn't care for neither one, I'm a chilled Moscato kind of girl so I just used my cheers card for the kind I wanted, so did the hubby. There were some at our table who liked it so it's all in your preference and taste. For me that's why booking the first night doesn't matter to us but it may to you just wanted to mention that.

As far as the Steakhouse goes WOW food is amazing !!! It's long, takes about 2 hours to complete a 4-5 course meal. Service is so so .... on one ship it was GREAT, on another it could be different. It's $35 a person even for children. I would definitely recommend it though. I have pics if anyone wants to see Lol Here is a little tip ~ If you don't care about the wine or don't have a special day or time you need try booking mid to late cruise because the food is so good it's HARD not to compare it to the other food they serve... dining room, bars etc, especially if this is your first cruise. I had "friends" in this situation. Hope this helps someone !!

I do have a question. Does anyone know which days will be ELEGANT night ?? I'm thinking the 2nd day the first sea day which is when we will be in the Steakhouse, anyone know for sure ??

Hey Sheryl, sorry I've been MIA lately. We had a black Friday cruise on the Liberty which was AWESOME!!!! It's an older ship but we had a great bunch of cruisers! Anyway, the company that I used was http://www.cozumelcruiseexcursions.com; we had Dave as our driver. I'm going to use them again, but this time to do a day pass at an all-inclusive resort.

A couple of things that we did on my recent cruise were a cabin crawl/poker run for $5 where a person in each category of ship allowed groups of us (there were 30 people total so we did groups of ten) to view their cabin and at the same time we would receive a card; there were 7 different cabins so at the end we took out 2 cards, put them in a sack and then put the 5 to make the best hand in a sealed envelope with our name on it; they were opened during the slot pull (see below) and the person with the best hand won the pot. It was a lot of fun and I must say that although the suites are nice, the aft wrap-around balcony is the prime one for me!!!

Another thing was a slot pull where 100 of us each put in $15 and had 5 pulls on a $3 minimum machine that we picked that day just in case the casino could do something to the machine in advance; we ended up with $10 each in the end but it was a ton of fun, we got a chance to talk more and get to know the other cruisers and we did have a chance at hitting it big :-)

We also had a formal meet & great in the piano bar where we paid $20 and Carnival supplied us with hors d'oeuvres, drinks and door prizes for an hour. It was a lot of fun, we had quite a bit to drink in that amount of time and pretty much everyone ended up with something as a prize; I think that there were about 30 of us for that. We also did T-shirts and had an informal M&G before leaving port.

If anyone would be interested in doing anything like this, I would be more than happy to set something up and if anyone wants to help, that would be awesome :-)

BTW, if no one has done so yet, I've set up a page on the social site that cannot be named lol, you can email me at loriac1969@yahoo.com if you would like to join (I think that it might be easier setting things up that way)

  • 2 weeks later...

Greetings my fellow cruisers !! Sheryl here checking in after a month  Yikes !! Where does the time go ?? I hope everyone had a FABULOUS CHRISTmas, we sure did. Santa was very kind to us as he always is but I believe my favorite 2 presents this year were my oldest son and his gf sleeping over to wake up with us CHRISTmas morning and my 10 year old daughter making us each a beautiful homemade bracelet and card, PRICELESS but yet cost no $$ <3 Are those not the BEST kind ??

I've Been working a lot to put toward our 2 vacations one of them being this cruise woohoo !!!! :D 9-10 months away my Breeze friends not to far off.

You know LIFE is GOOD... Just left work.... waiting on the hubby to get home from his job so we can go out to dinner but in the mean time I got my feet up, shoes off, a glass of wine and my "Islands Magazine" in hand ;) Lol Thought I'd just drop a HELLO and put us back on TOP again.

WELCOME BACK loco1969 !!!!

We did a slot pull on our last cruise, first time doing one for us. Didn't really make a profit but got some of our money back. It was FUN though. I'd do it again :)

Meet & Greets are awesome I think we should do this for sure. We're in !! Not sure on the T-shirts though did them with our 1st cruise since the price was right but not on our last. With there being 5 of us we may pass.

I too set up a page on a site I can't mention Lol on 10-28-2014 when we booked. We only have 5 members in the group so far, maybe no one can find us ?? How many people do you have on your page Loco ?? Maybe who ever has the most we can just move over to that one so we're all together ??

Carnival Breeze October 18,2015 is where you can find us.

Hey, thanks for the info I appreciate it and what All Inclusive Resort did you have in mind ??

Hi everyone

I'm Brad, my wife Jennifer and I are thinking about booking on this cruise. We will be 38(her) and 39(me) at sailing. We sailed last year in September on RCI Enchantment of the Seas and I loved it. It was kind of last minute so it was on a budget and we mainly stuck to the boat.

We don't have kids and were looking to vacation in the fall since most US students should be in school. Is this during fall break?

Also, I sailed on the Fascination in 2003 and still have a lot of questions. So hopefully I can count on you're all's help.

Thanks,

Brad
