We're booked on the Solstice Nov and Dec 2015, New Caledonia, Australia and New Zealand. The good, the bad and the in between will be very much appreciated. We're mostly Princess and Royal Caribbean cruisers. We're low maintenance, don't drink much, no pampering is necessary. Thank you, thank you.

The Solstice was our first Celebrity Ship (back in 2012)... Loved her

You might find my post on her and other S-Class Ship Storage useful as you prepare for your upcoming cruise

Storage on the Solstice (S-Class Ships) = http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1560620

My initial report is about the Solstce, but other Pax added to it so as to include their findings on the various S-Class Ships as they too rolled out

Hope this is helpful,

Cheers!

As others have noted, you'll like the Solstice. Below are a couple of links with lots of visuals and details on the Solstice, its classy options, food, entertainment, etc. PLUS, from the live/blog, you can see more on what we did in BOTH New Zealand and Australia.

Tell us more on what specific ports are you planning to visit, what types of activities most interest you, where are you from, etc. Happy to share more, answer any questions, etc.

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

I love the Solstice (and her sister S-class ships). For a large ship there are always wonderful private spots to sit and relax. One of my favorite spots is Cafe al Bacio where I love to grab one of the comfy chairs overlooking the Grand Foyer and enjoy a latte and one of the great (free) goodies from the pastry case!

We were on the Solstice last April to New Caledonia. Like you, for the most part we have been on Princess and Royal. We found the Solstice to be a big step above any other ship we've been on.

The ship is absolutely beautiful, modern and never felt crowded although it was a full sailing. The food is great and the ship has an incredible buffet with an unbelievable selection.

You just have to go to Murano at least once. I would recommend the lunch if offered. At $25pp it's the best bang for your buck on board. Service and food is exceptional. We went there for lunch on both occasions it was offered on our 8 night cruise.

Not sure if you have kids but the Fun Factory staff are incredible. Our 4 year old daughter loved it.

You are going to love the Solstice.
