Check out what is below you as the disco and bars are on the 5th floor. Depending what room you have, you may be subject to bass from the music until all hours of the morning.

If you are Mid Ship you can hear a lot of the noise/music from the Atrium area. Usually lasting until midnight. The next cruises we have moved up to Panorama Deck.

 

Nov Cruise we are in an Ocean Suite on deck 7 near the elevators, so we will see if you can still hear the noise.

We were in 6443 a week+ ago which was right off the aft elevators. It was nice and quiet and we'd book that again without hesitation.

Some deck 6 rooms are fine, with quiet areas below it. Some are over noisy areas, but it's only noisy during the day. And some are over spots that are noisy late into the night. Over the theater will be okay from about 11pm on. Over the casino on starboard side could be very noisy well passed midnight, with the band playing right there. Over any of the casino could by noisy at anytime. Over the dance club would be horrible. Over the piano bar will be noisy. Over the comedy club could be noisy. If you book a deck 6 room, it would be wise to find advice about a room in particular from someone who has stayed in that one & has said it was quiet. Keep in mind that while one room could be quiet, the one right next door could be horribly noisy. That's the tricky part about deck 6.

 

Deck 7 is a much safer bet. Only rooms both above & below. You only have to hope to not have a noisy night owl above or next to you. Deck 6 has that risk also, but adds the possibility of a noisy public area below.

midship deck 6 is a category 8B moving up to deck 7 aft is the same category.

 

there is many areas on deck 6 that is above a noisy area. But there are also some that are not.

 

on the deck plan does NOT show all the places that have potential noise areas-- example-- across from the casino bar-- there is a band that sets up after 9pm and plays til the wee hours.

 

the piano bar also goes to those ahours too

We were in 6263 2 weeks on the Freedom. Cabin was above entrance to show lounge and we never heard a sound. Very convenient to elevators, and stairways and we would definitely book it again.

Glad to hear that 6443 is a nice quiet room.That is our room when we cruise at the end of October.I was a little concerned because this is the first time that I have booked a guaranteed balcony. NOW I ABSOLUTELY can't wait for the next 31 days to fly by.
