There is one on 17th street. But there is one in the vicinity of the airport also, so if you are looking for 17th street, just make sure of the address.

My experience with the HIE 17th street was not the best, but it was four years ago. I guess the best thing going for it is, the location, plus clean room and adequate included breakfast, though the breakfast room is tiny given the number of guest rooms. I had several issues that may or may not be an issue with other travellers, but I have chosen a different hotel on 17th street for my pre cruise and post cruise stay in Nov.

The location of the hotel is good, and close to harbor shops and restaurants, and is standard Holiday Inn for room cleanliness and room appointments.

Walgreens is a short walk away. Edited by SMSACE6

Great hotel for a pre or post cruise stay. If you're looking for a pool, this is not the place, but it's a very well run property with clean, "smallish" rooms in a super location.

Bimini Boatyard is very close and I enjoyed a great meal there with fellow roll call cruisers.

There are several restaurants in the Harbor shops, which are very close walking distance from the HI. They are on the same side of the street as you, and in the opposite direction of the Port. I'm sure the front desk can point you in the right direction.

There is also lots of shopping all around you there, including Total wine and Publix for better prices.

We had a really good meal at Giulianos in the same shopping center. It is at the far end of the shopping center, from where you will be staying.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn this June before getting on the Allure. We loved it! It had a big bath tub, a refrigerator, a microwave, a coffee maker, etc. It is very close to all the Harbor Shops, Total Wine, Publix supermarket. We ate at Gilbert's 17th Street Grill. Delicious. A family owned burger place, fish and chips, homemade desserts. Closes pretty early, so you have to check the times. We've also eaten at Kelly's Landing and had great 2# lobster tails there. Many folks talk about Southport Raw Bar and Carlos' & Pepe's. Lots of choices. Good, safe area. Lots of places across the street also. We would stay there again with no problem.
