granni10 Posted September 30, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 30, 2014 How good is the CD on the Glory? Does he do the Marriiage Game, is it worth seeing? How long do you have to be married to be in the show? Do they have a live band on the Glory? How are the comedy shows? How late is the X-rated comedy show? Is there any thing to eat after that show? How good is the room service food? Thanks Granni10
ks13 Posted October 1, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 1, 2014 I don't know about Glory but most ships have pizza, and room service 24/7. Room service is not bad late night. The comedy show time seem to change depending on what is going on the ship, often 10 - midnight.
runner15km Posted October 1, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 1, 2014 Dr. E is the CD and we found him entertaining. The late night comedy show is R rated, mostly four letter words. Marriage game has newly weds to couples 50+ years and 2 couples in between. There was a live band on our Glory cruise in February.
Dreeme Posted December 7, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 7, 2014 Cruise director -Eversen Bevelle. He's great! Funny, visible, entertaining and personable. I didn't notice who cruise directors were until I had him and Matt Mitcham(currently on Breeze). Now, I pay alot more attention and see that they really matter. I've cruised with Eversen 3x now and will again on 12/27/14, can't wait! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

IT'S A VERY GOOD MORNING, ITS A VERY GOOD MORNING. That is what Dr. E sings every morning!

IT'S A VERY GOOD MORNING, ITS A VERY GOOD MORNING. That is what Dr. E sings every morning! :D Yes! He is a lot of fun and I don't care about cruise directors normally. There is a live band as of two weeks ago. We couldn't reach room service 2 nights in a row so went down to Lido aft and had pizza (24 hours). The pizza is good! Near the pizza there is a little late night snack section open after the late night show with a very limited selection. I think there were grilled ham and cheese sandwiches, chips and a couple of other snack items. That's only open for an hour or two after the show. Twinswithtwins Posted December 7, 2014 #10 Share Posted December 7, 2014 Just off Glory yesterday- had a great time with Dr. E (also known as Reverend E.). Both 'honorary' titles. Seemed to be everywhere. Young and energetic. Doesn't make too many announcements like some other CD's. DON'T miss his music trivia at the casino stage. Get there 1/2 hour early to get a seat- though he will have you up dancing. Plays a short clip- but no 'sanging' along as he puts it. Once all the clips are played he will go back and play the whole song- that's when everyone sings (and dances). SO MUCH FUN. I think he should have it in a bigger area as most people had to stand for the hour. This is NOT like the 'regular' trivia that is played throughout the day. Scheduled 2 evenings at 9:45- all different songs. Also went to his Q&A- fun, too. Said his contract on the Glory was just renewed for another year. Have never really paid attention to other CD's (though Jaime Dee is a winner, too). Dr E actually made a difference!
evandbob Posted December 7, 2014 #11 Share Posted December 7, 2014 Twins With Twins - great name! Mine turn 40 this year oh my I survived. I appreciate your positive endorsement of the Glory CD however: I'm hoping that when I sail the Glory, whoever the CD is, that he/she has laryngitis. Every carnival CD has the same spiel, the only individualization is how/what they call themselves. They read from a script approved by Corporate. BTW, every Marriage Game is the same on every ship. Same questions, same answers. The only time I am aware of a CD is when their announcements rouse me from a reverie, and that is not good.

We had him on the Glory last Jan. He was not it was his second week of being a CD then. Loved, LOVED his music trivia on the casino stage. Also gave him a big hug when I seen him with his sign that said free hugs.:D
cruiser4lf Posted December 7, 2014 #13 Share Posted December 7, 2014 I loved, loved, loved him, I never even seen any of the other cruise directors before until my last Glory cruise; 11/30-12/6. He made all the difference. Thank you. I missed my wake up call this morning.:)

thephillykid Posted December 29, 2014 #15 Share Posted December 29, 2014 We were on the Glory 12/13 to 12/20 and found Dr E. quite entertaining, and he is really energetic especially on the deck for dancing in the afternoon. His trivia in the casino bar area was a riot and he really gets into his job. We were on the trip for Hanukkah and he really didn't have any idea of the blessings and really helped out with getting some one familiar to lead them. His songs and singing is hysterical. He really is one of the tops in his job.
