Elsa and Anna on Magic

Hello... I searched extensively to be sure this question hasn't been asked 100 times already. :) Hope I didn't overlook it.

We are cruising on the Magic in January 2015, do any of you know if there will be Frozen cast appearances?

I have a 4 year old who desperately wants to meet Elsa (like all 4 year old girls I believe)... I've told her already I didn't know if Elsa would be on the ship, and I won't get her hopes up anyway, but I'm really hoping my daughter will meet her idol!

Thanks!

As Frozen is one of the more recent of the Disney movies, I could see why they might not have those characters on board. However, I know that around the parks some of the characters from the movie Brave, which was released near the time of Frozen were there. You may be able to find some more information for it on the DisneyCruise site under the character breakfast section. Please tell if you find out anytime soon, I would love to see them on the ship!

You might have missed it but Frozen has been a phonomenon at WDW. They've build special meet and greet areas for the charachters in twoof the parks and they added fast passes because of the four HOUR waits. There's talk that the Maelstrom attraction at the Norway pavillion in Epcot with get a Frozen re-theming.

This is way bigger than Brave.

I'm guessing "DisneyObsessed" doesn't have young daughters... Or he/she would know of they hype. :)

Frozen has been quite the phenomenon! I've explained to my daughter that I do not know if Elsa or Anna will be on the cruise, I'm hoping she truly understands and isn't getting her hopes up. She will be excited to see the other princesses as well so it wouldn't be a total loss. :)

Our whole family is very much looking forward to the trip, I think the anticipation and planning is half the fun!

Just got off the Wonder and Anna & Elsa were there. I would be surprised if they are not on every ship.

As a PP mentioned they are a ticketed meet & greet and you have to reserve on embarkation afternoon. It was the 1st think we did after going to our cabin.

September 2014, Elsa and Anna did a ticketed Meet and Greet with photos and autographs on the Magic. Day 1 go to GS and get a free ticket which specified our day and time (we did have a choice of days). Show up and there is a relatively short line. You do need one ticket for each person and you need to be reasonably on time.

It could change by January, but that's our September experience.

My earlier digging seemed to indicate Elsa and Anna were only on the 7 day cruises so there would be enough sea days to accommodate potentially every cabin for a pre-assigned photo op but on 5 day cruises Disney was not going to have them on board as there would not be enough time to guarantee every cabin gets a slot. If anyone can refute/confirm that would be great.

On our September Magic cruise, there were no "pre-assigned photo ops" like they do for the pre-assigned character breakfasts or whatever.

The deal was that on day 1, you went to guest services to get a ticket for EACH member of your party. We got one ticket, but it clearly said 3 guests. The CM told us that this would be the only ticket issued for our cabin. We were there relatively early, so we did have a choice of days. It wasn't like cabin ABCD was pre-assigned to 9:15 on Monday. It was like "this is what we have open, which do your prefer."

There was a background set up and music from the movie playing. I don't know what kind of time was specifically allotted; my guess would be about 5 minutes per cabin. There was a large group in front of us. They were a bit irritating because some late comers from the group took their place with their friends/family in front of us. However, the CMs did keep an eye on them. After several photos and stuff (maybe 8 minutes worth), they started clowning around. At that point, the CMs politely escorted them away from the backdrop and toward the door. I couldn't hear what was said, but the idea was that their time was up.

Brave came out about a year and a half before Frozen .. I wouldn't really consider those releases to be near each other?

Frozen came out at Thanksgiving 2013 (we saw it in Orlando before checking in to WDW). These characters were not only in Epcot when we were there on that Sunday (Dec 1, I believe) but the day before, the BBB was already selling out of Elsa dresses, which were priced higher than the other princess dresses! (We were one of the set of parents who caved for our "princess" LOL)

So as others have said, yes, I can confirm that the hype was practically instant! :)
