Cozumel- No, you get off on Carnival Corp's dock and you go right into Puerta Maya.

 

Grand Cayman- Yes. On our Glory cruise, tender tickets had to be purchased (if you weren't priority or FTTF). On my freedom cruise, you just went down and all things worked out nicely. Tender ride is no more than 10 minutes, ride is peaceful, I actually enjoy it.

 

Two of my favorite places, Grand Cayman winning the title over the two. you'll have a great time doing whatever you decide, Turtle Farm, Rum Point, 7 Mile, Stingray City, the shops nearby, etc. you can't go wrong in GC. Cozumel is great too!

 

You're in for a great cruise, enjoy it!

This depends on which of the docks they use. You may be right at downtown Cozumel. The only time Cozumel may be tender is if more than 6 ships are there. Of course I would not want to be! :eek:

 

I have never paid for a tender ticket on any cruise. Carnival is not going to charge for their passengers to simply get into the port of call.

You dont pay for tender tickets.

Tender tickets have been used on every cruise we've taken -- just until the rush is over. It you've never seen them, you must sleep in. Not a bad idea to miss the craziness. :)

 

No tickets to return -- just get in line :eek:

What I seem to remember is if you are going on an excursion, you will meet in a certain place on the ship and they will escort you to the tender lobby. If you are not going on an excursion, you needed to meet somewhere else on the ship to obtain a tender ticket. Later in the day, you don't need the tender tickets.
