Turning Platinum - quick question

Good evening all.

 

I know this has been asked before, but I would appreciate an answer to my specific situation.

I have 68 cruise days as Gold. My next cruise will be a 7 day sailing.

The description says that after 74 days you turn Platinum. Does this mean that I will start my next cruise with a Platinum card? I sure hope so.:D

Should be if 74 is correct. Quickest way to check is Carnival website, Manage, and look at your cruise documents.

Yes, you reach Platinum at 75 days of cruising. In the OP's case, if they have 68 days cruised, or 68 VIFP points as Carnival puts it, and book a 7 day cruise or longer, they'll reach Platinum at the start of that cruise. Their cruise docs should reflect that after booking. Same for you, 70 VIFP points, book a 5 day or longer cruise, you hit Platinum then.

So if you're at 70 points and you check in for a 5 day cruise, will your card be Platinum then?

Yes, that is correct. On the cruise during which you reach 75 days, you are Platinum from the beginning of that cruise. Your on-line documents should reflect that.
