Two quick questions:

 

1. I heard that the POM parking garage takes only cash up front...is this true? I remember it was years ago, but dont recall last year when I was there. We will be leaving from terminal C if that matters.

 

2. A member of our party said there is a fifty pound weight limit for suitcases like on airplanes. Is this true? Also, a 2 bag max pp?

 

Any and all info appreciated...we leave in 2 days!!!

The last time I parked at the Port (Last year), you paid before you exit. And they "ask" that bags be under 50 pounds, but I've never seen or heard of any enforcement of that. We live in Florida so our bags are over 50 pounds and never had an issue....also no limit on bags.

 

Just got this from the Port website...."Payment

 

All of our garages and Lot E accept cash, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, or any major U.S. Traveler's Check. No debit cards are accepted." And it says Lot J is pre-paid parking only....not sure what is different about that lot though.

There is no enforced baggage limit, either weight or quantity. Do keep in mind that the room stewards, guy and gals, have to carry and deliver all these bags to the rooms. Over 50 is getting pretty heavy.

Port of Miami parking in Jan and June of 2014 was pay as you exit. $20 per day.

Just to follow up for everyone's benefit. Yep. It was $20 a day. Pay as you leave and major cc were excepted. Very convenient albeit expensive.
