Jerome called for another get crazy quest. This time GMAN thought to get the points he should pull his pants down and moon everyone. Check out the guy's face in the white shirt & jean shorts...

Whoops... There's another ship beside us. I probably shouldn't walk on the balcony in just a towel.

TIP: If there is a ship docked right beside your ship, you should probably put some pants on if you're going to go on your balcony

Michelle & I chose to do the Dolphin Push, Pull and Swim, Manatee Interaction at Chankanaab Park. This excursion was $105.75 per person. We thought it was a great excursion and from talking to and looking at the faces of the other people they thought it was great too. Transportation was provided from the pier to Chankanaab Park. Once there we were able to store our bags in lockers. Of course we had to put our camera in there too. They have a person who will take lots of pictures for you. There were about 75 people doing the excursion from our ship and they split people up into groups of 8-12 depending if you have a bigger group. We put on life jackets and headed to the water. Our dolphin trainer/guide was very nice and was telling us about the dolphins. He brought over a dolphin (I forget his name) and had him swim back and forward in front of us so we could feel him while he gets accustomed to us. Then one at a time the guide had us do tricks with the dolphin. Make him stand up and kisses. Then each person swam out a bit with a boogie board and a dolphin would come up from behind and push you through the water. Next we would swim out and as the dolphin swims up beside you, you grab the fins and let him pull you along. Once everyone had done all of these things we moved over the the next 'pen' where we had the Manatee Interaction. This was a new trainer having a Manatee swim back and forward in front of us for about 5 minutes so we could touch it. We were in the water for about 45 minutes all together.

Going back to pictures, even if you're doing just the observer (watching family members), you're not allowed to have a camera. That's how they get you. They have someone there taking pictures and you can purchase them after. There are a couple different price points. You can buy individual pictures or 6 pictures and a souvenir photo album or what we did which was all of our pictures (75 pics) on a CD for $125.

TIP: If you're doing this excursion as a couple and want to buy all the pictures on a CD only send 1 person buy the pictures. There was a single guy with us who got charged a lot less (I think $75) because it was just him. He only had 5 less pictures than the 2 of us. All you're doing is selecting ALL pictures of you on a computer. They didn't look to see who was in the pictures. Because we are 2 people we did ask for 2nd CD which they don't normally do, but were nice and made a second copy.

With the excursion you get admission all of Chankanaab Park. Included is a Sea Lion show in a little theatre (think Sea World if you're been) but we didn't go. We ended up walking to their beach. The beach had extremely soft white sand and the water was crystal clear. lounge chairs and palapa umbrellas are no charge because you're already in the park. The Park has snorkeling gear you can use. We went in the water but didn't use snorkeling gear. I used my goggles and could see a lot of fish. I would suggest getting snorkeling gear.

The day we were in Cozumel was the same day as the Carnival Magic. This ship got a lot of notoriety for having one of the nurses on it who treated a patient in Dallas who had Ebola. The Mexican government found out about it and refused to allow them to dock. We didn't find out about this until we got back on the ship. I was wondering why the ship was just sitting out in the water for a couple hours without docking.

For lunch we went to the Dolphin View buffet in Chankanaab Park. It was $17 and came with pop (soda if you're American). The buffet was decent, but not fantastic. Nachos w/cheese, burgers, hot dogs, pasta, fish, soup, salad.
