Hawaii port questions

In reading some NCL documentation and talked to NCL CSR, both state you must back on board TWO HOURS prior to departure in each Hawaiian port.

Is this true?

Does Honolulu Port Authorities allow rental car driving in Pier 2 during embank/disembark day to pick up/drop off luggage? How far the NCL counters are when inside the terminal?

Thanks

Michael

Thanks everyone for the information. I did double check with NCL CSR if the two hours only apply to embarkation only, however she was very firm it applies to all Hawaiian ports. May be NCL prefer us using their shore excursions and spent more time on board to boost their sales. :D

I prefer spending more time on shore than on board.

We had a rental car on embarkation day and drove into the pier area. We were stopped by security and said we were unloading passengers and luggage. We were allowed in to an unloading area, dropped off our grown kids and all the luggage and then drove out to return the rental car.
