A bunch!! Seriously though, on our first cruise which was on the Dawn (a much smaller ship) there were over 900 kids. Honestly, I didn't really even notice them until the last couple of days. The older kids would hang out around stairs and in the buffet playing cards or talking on the last couple of days. Not a big deal. They weren't trying to annoy anyone. They were just enjoying their vacation :) I guess they got tired of whatever kids activities there were for them by the end of the cruise. We did get a spa pass on that cruise but there were some pretty annoying adults in there!

Having been on several holiday cruises (with our kid), yes, you'd better expect LOTS of kids!! But you need not to fret .... most of them will be in kids' clubs.

Do invest in getting either the Vibe or Spa passes, or you can use the Spice H2O.

One good thing about the 'lots of kids' thing: the casino is less busy ha ha.

Breakaway is a big ship.

The kids will not be everywhere.

Stop worrying and focus on having a great cruise!

We were on in July and except for one time, I can't even remember children posing any problems. And that one time it was actually pretty funny. A tween boy with a painted face came running through Spice H2O (during the day when it's adults only) no doubt on a dare of some kind.

Have fun. Hit the bars. Won't be any kids there ;)

P.S. First and last day of your trip will be too cold to be out on pool decks, so no worries about kids running around outside.

If your dates are when kids are out of school, there will be lots. How many? Hard to say.

More important than how many, is how many with parents that do not care what their kids do. Hard to say.

We did the New Years cruise on the Pearl this year, and I can honestly say that it was the worst cruise as far as the unruly kids and the parents that didn't give a damn. They were running up and down the halls, with their parents right behind them. People were rude. We saw this elderly gentleman walking down the hall get bumped into, almost knocked him over, and the person just kept right on going and didn't even apologize. I don't blame NCL for it, but I don't ever see us doing a holiday cruise again. We love cruising, and love NCL, but if this had been our first cruise, I'm not sure if we would love it as much as we do. So, the moral of this is to be prepared for LOTS of kids and there may be LOTS of rude adults too.. Hope you have a GREAT cruise!!
