buddy 27 Posted October 29, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 29, 2014 Hi fellow Cruisers, Last time I was on Ventura they had Spitfire and Speckled Hen real ales..Is that still The same please? and what are the current prices? Just asking! Thanks:)
Denarius Posted October 29, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 29, 2014 Doubt if they will ever sell "real ale", ie cask conditioned beers, on a cruise ship as the ships motion would prevent it settling.
dgs1956 Posted October 29, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 29, 2014 They still do Speckled Hen in bottles and I can't remember what others.
OllieMK Posted October 29, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 29, 2014 I've been reliably informed they have Fuller's London Pride. Which is a pretty decent beer in my humble opinion.

SDadw01 Posted October 30, 2014 #9 Share Posted October 30, 2014 Are the prices still around £3 a 500ml bottle? Unfortunately not, more like 3.50 pounds.
Somerset Cruiser Posted October 30, 2014 #10 Share Posted October 30, 2014 It was £3.50 last week on Oriana, for London Pride, Speckled Hen and Pedigree. Some others as well but not sure which ones.

Spikey M Posted October 31, 2014 #12 Share Posted October 31, 2014 Are the same Ales (or similar) available on Azura? I don’t mind lager, but much prefer an Ale.
daiB Posted October 31, 2014 #13 Share Posted October 31, 2014 Are the same Ales (or similar) available on Azura? I don’t mind lager, but much prefer an Ale. All the ships tend to have the same. They are getting more now and different bars are having different draught beers. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
rickpo Posted November 1, 2014 #14 Share Posted November 1, 2014 Are bottles/cans stored on a cold shelf/fridge does anybody know? Thanks, Rick.
daiB Posted November 1, 2014 #15 Share Posted November 1, 2014 Are bottles/cans stored on a cold shelf/fridge does anybody know? Thanks, Rick. Do you want them cold or room temp? Ia ask because if you have a preference just have a word with the bar men. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
pete14 Posted November 1, 2014 #16 Share Posted November 1, 2014 Are bottles/cans stored on a cold shelf/fridge does anybody know? Thanks, Rick. Usually they are stored in a cold place but if you ask for a bottle at room temperature, they seem to have no problem finding one. Why they serve ales cold as the norm, I have no idea!
