Live from the Carnival Pride

At the conclusion of our muster drill today we were notified that we would not be leaving the dock at Tampa until 9 pm this evening.

After apeaking with three members of the crew it is clear that they all know they have some issues to correct. The crew I spoke too stated that nearly all of the crew is new.

For the most part, the interior areas of the ship appear clean and ready for the guests.... My extended balcony is VERY dirty.... The wood floor appears to have not been cleaned since dry dock.... The glass on the balcony is so dirty that it slightly limits your view.

Several of the times listed in the Fin Times are already wrong.... But I can assure you that these small issues will not ruin my cruise but I would have hoped that these type of issues would have been addressed three weeks after dry dock.

I am not trying to dump on Carnival..... I am a faithful customer to the brand as I am lacking platinum status by 6 sailing days.... Instead just trying to give those of you who are waiting on additional post dry dock pride info some ideas on the status of her and her crew.

Happy sailing,

Rick

Most likely the balcony wasnt cleaned during drydock either . Its sad to hear the ship is continuing to have the issues with the funtimes . You may say these things are small things but your there to be entertained and amused and not agitated and annoyed .

We are here too. Our balcony (not extended) is great. Not dirty at all. Ship looks beautiful, and we are on it, so no worries that we are departing later ... Gangway is closed and ready to sail when we get cleared. Guy burgers are awesome and the drinks are strong!

Im watching the webcam and i noticed the Holland America is still docked as well. They had a issue earlyer with a capsized boat in the channel couple hours ago with people clinging to it. I will be on the Pride next month on 14th.

Did you say Pride has a serenity deck? If so, where is it? We just got off Sensation and loved the Serenity deck on the aft looking out on the wake. Best managed ship I've ever sailed on. Everything went perfectly. Very impressed.

We are sitting in our aft balcony, and loving the view! Dinner and today were both real good, and we have no complaints. Unless you're a real gambler, I'm not sure why the extra time in port is that big of an issue. By all accounts, we will still get to our ports on time, and that that's good for me!
