I'm platinum, cabinmates are not, separate boarding

I am cruising next week with 3 newbies, I am platinum and they are not. We're all sharing one cabin. We will all be arriving separately to the port. Will they get priority embarkation even if I am not with them at embarkation?

Thanks in advance!

Did you pay for the whole room? If not, they will not get priority boarding or any other perk that comes with platinum.

Tell them to check their boarding pass. It should say priority boarding. I think anyone that's in the room with you gets that perk.

Last cruise we had two cabins and I was booked in one with my MIL who was gold. We all checked in together and her sail and sign was there with ours at Platinum check-in.

Also, if you are visiting any tender ports, you can take up to 5 non-Platinum guest with you on the first tender.

print all in one fun pass rather than individual, it will say priority and will be for all of you

further to that, i have always taken with me my friends sailing same cruise, and always its been you can take one other stateroom with you... if their keys are not there, they simply print new ones, been my experience couple of times, however, printing an all in one boarding pass is much easier if you are all in the one stateroom..

Does doing this make you feel all warm and fuzzy? Do you bring rum runners too?

That perk is not an automatic thing except for minors.

If they are booked into the same room its automatic. The boarding pass will say Platinum VIP or something along that line.

092306- when was your cruise? That has changed and you will not be able to board multiple cabins under one platinum or FTTF now.

I hate to think this was the Splendor this past October

On my Victory cruise in October, I went with 4 other coworkers.

I shared a room with 2 of them. We all payed separately.

They're boarding pass had PRIORITY, since we shared the same cabin. The other 2 did not have priority. Also, these were 2 separate reservations.

Upon entering the terminal, the Carnival rep escorted us thru the priority lane. He let the other 2 coworkers use the priority lane, since they were with me.

However, my other coworkers had to get their room keys with everyone else. Their keys were not in the Lounge.

But what mad it so funny, they had their keys and was on the ship before us. Lol!

Only if boarding pass and luggage says priority or if you are paying their sign and sail. I emailed Carnival to get verification for my parents.

If you have it in writing that your parents can board priority, and they're not Diamond, not Platinum, not in a Suite and not in the same cabin as a Diamond or Platinum, you should take that with you.. The putting other passengers in a different cabin on the same sign and sail card as you just to get them into the VIP Room has been stopped since so many passengers were doing it and then changing once onboard...

Only exception is minor children in another cabin...

This is why the Platinum/Diamond lounge has gotten so crowded. No one that is not a spouse should be allowed in that room..Dennis

We boarded the Miracle on 11/22. My DH, DD and I are platinum. The lounge was packed.

My dad and son are gold VIFP. They were checked in, on the ship and eating lunch while we were still in the lounge waiting.

Something really needs to change.

I came to ask a similar question today - my parents will be in a cabin with my son who is turning platinum this cruise. My parents are gold and my Dad wants to buy the faster to the fun for himself and my Mom. Is there any reason for this purchase or will he get to board with the platinum guests (will have all on the boarding pass) and get priority tender and debarkation.... Thanks!

Yes it was Splendor this past October. DH and I are both Platinum and had 2 cabins. Mother in law was booked in same room as me and boarding pass said priority.

Thanks for the responses! I'm still a little confused by the contradictory answers, though. In my case, we are ALL in ONE cabin - I'm not trying to take on people in different cabins. But we did all pay separately, and will be on separate sail and sign accounts. I can't get the all-in-one pass because we are arriving to the port SEPARATELY.

So I think they will get priority, too, but I guess we'll know for sure when they print out their boarding passes.

FTTF might be a good investment in this case. Platinums can get off after the self assist, but does not give priority tendering. Someone might want to verify this for me

ALL the boarding passes will read the same. Even if you print them out one at a time.

You had two cabins that were priority. Not one cabin that had priority and you boarded the other cabin with you.

Which has been done prior years but Carnival cut down on this unless the 2nd cabin has your own minor children in it.

I never said I had only one cabin that was priority and boarded the other cabin with me. I (platinum) was booked in a cabin with MIL (Gold) and was answering the OPs question regarding a non-platinum in the same room as a Platinum boarding together. Sorry that wasn't clear in my first post.

I am a little confused on the question. But, Platinum guests have priority tendering and are allowed to take up to five guests with them on the tender, even if they are not in their cabin. As far as FTTF, not needed. they will have priority embark, debark, and tendering as well as their son who will be Platinum.

Yes, they will. They just need to have their boarding passes with them. They will all show VIFP priority. No problem. As long as one person in the cabin is Platinum, all in the cabin have those perks.

Don't be confused. I have done this many times. They will have Priority embarkation.

Got a question about this, hopefully I didn't look over the answer. On my next cruise, I'll be traveling with someone that will become platinum during cruise. I'm the one that booked it, so will I get to board with her as priority? Hope I made since lol
