Convenient Vancouver hotel for pre cruise-Alaska

We are taking our ten year old grandson on a cruise to Alaska in August. We were looking forward to staying in The Pan Pacific Hotel the night before the cruise. For us, it would make the embarkation process very easy. But when we called today for a reservation, they told us they are totally booked. So, just wondering, if there is a good alternative to the Pan Pacific...would really appreciate any suggestions. Thank you.

Directly across the street is the Fairmont Waterfront. An equal hotel in many ways. The hotel porters will wheel your luggage across the street to the check in area.

Yes, as mentioned, the Fairmont Waterfront is fantastic! (high end/pricey, but great.).

 

It is right across the street, and there is even an underground passageway, if it is raining on the day that you go to the ship!

We stayed at Sutton Place once when the Pan Pacific was not available. It is not as conveniently located as the Pan Pacific but it is a lovely hotel and was an easy walk to Canada Place.

The pizza is fantastic at the Fairmont Waterfront's high end restaurant.

 

Your Grandson might also like the fast food places in the aforementioned underground passageway.

Yes the Fairmont is excellent.

We have never had a problem getting into the PP. You might visit their web site also. We will be staying there again next year on our wine cruise.

 

We also took our grand daughter to Alaska a few years ago when she turned 13. Of all our cruises this is the one we remember most.:) Have fun.

We have stayed at the Westin Bayshore and enjoyed the location right on the water. A very short drive to the pier from the hotel.
