kool-cruiser Posted December 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 22, 2014 Hi, I am booked on a Baltic Cruise next August and we are on Azamara Quest. Can anyone confirm if the ship berths in the main cruise terminal or if it goes further up river and uses on of the smaller berths close to the city centre reserved for smaller ships. Many thanks for any assistance.
marinaro44 Posted December 22, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 22, 2014 This past July we were docked as close to city center as a ship can go without tearing down a bridge.

KnoxvilleSam Posted December 22, 2014 #5 Share Posted December 22, 2014 We were on the Journey a few years ago in St. Petersburg and docked on the Neva River almost across from the Hermitage. Spectacular. We were also there for White Nights! Sent from my iPad using Forums
cruiser02 Posted December 22, 2014 #6 Share Posted December 22, 2014 We are on the same cruise. do we have to take a ship's tour to go into the city? I believe we do.
excitedofharpenden Posted December 22, 2014 #7 Share Posted December 22, 2014 It doesn't have to be a ship's tour, but it should be with an authorised tour guide/company. We hired a driver who took us to the sights we wanted to see. Phil
hubofhockey Posted December 22, 2014 #8 Share Posted December 22, 2014 We are on the same cruise. do we have to take a ship's tour to go into the city?I believe we do. We did a Baltic and St Petersburg itinerary with Princess this summer and used SPB Tours. We had a group of eight of us who booked a private tour together. Otherwise, I believe you could join a group of sixteen. Excellent 2-day tour.
