Remus2010 Posted January 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2015 We fly out in the morning for the Glory out of Miami on the 23rd 😃. Can we exchange larger bills for tips at either the casino or service desk once on board? I say yes, my husband says no. I don't want to travel with 200 ones if I don't have to lol, they take up too much room. Thanks in advance. rjdcruises4fun Posted January 22, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2015 Guest services has made change for us in the past before we got off of ship. Same problem, we only had large bills and didn't want to get off at a port with out singles, etc. Worked for us, Racjel Sent from my XT1080 using Forums mobile app
TheTravelista Posted January 22, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 22, 2015 Sure, you can do it. I usually travel with the singles, it just occurred to me that it might make more sense to do it at the casino.

Just have a few with you if you use transport from the airport to the pier or utilize the porters instead of carry on when you embark the ship. Yet another option for converting larger bills to smaller ones is the Sail & Sign kiosk, usually located near guest services. LoveyHowell Posted January 22, 2015 #8 Share Posted January 22, 2015 Yes BUT if everyone has the same idea, they could run out of singles. Also, if you go to an island with a big bill don't expect them to make change for you in US singles. They love that game! We always start with our own stash. We get more onboard if we need, but I wouldn't count on getting $200 in singles towards the end of the cruise.
serene56 Posted January 22, 2015 #9 Share Posted January 22, 2015 200 in singles?? LOl Most of your tipping will be before you get on the ship. the taxi driver-- the porter then room service if used. the rest of your people are will be tipped with the automatic tip Tips for exxcursions. then you need tips for after-- tip a porter if he helps with your bags the taxi guy. We travel with 25.00 of 1s 4 - 5s 2 10s
