themutis Posted January 27, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 27, 2015 I no longer see the ability to purchase a dining package online. Anyone else seeing the same thing. The packages are listed on the main Celebrity Dining page (http://www.celebritycruises.com/onboard-celebrity/cruise-restaurants) But are not there when I go to manage my reservation/pre-cruise planner. We always book as soon as cruises become available but specialty dining, excursions, etc are available to book at random times! Occasionally, as soon as the cruise is booked, sometimes as late as a few months pre-cruise. For excursions, Celebrity have to wait until they have set up the contracts for the season. With other enhancements, there is no rhyme of reason. I have, sometimes but not every time, been able to nudge Celebrity into adding the enhancements to a cruise so that we can book them by emailing and saying that we are keen to give them some money! Always worth a try! Since the OP was only inquiring about dining packages, I was only commenting on my experience of pre-booking a dining package. As far as a "time frame" to access various enhancements prior to the cruise, I cannot comment on that either. I will say that I had November (2013) cruise (booked in mid-February of the same year) and I purchased the dining package in May of the same year. That is 6+ months in advance of the cruise embarkation. Could I have done this in 2012 if I had booked the cruise 12+ months in advance? Not sure, but following up with a call to Celebrity may be your best bet. Unfortunately, the website can have glitches at times and things that should work just fine often times don't and you don't know if it is you, the website, or just too early to do what you want to do. I called today - the CS rep tried to book it for me but couldn't. She had no explanation and suggested I call Monday-Friday when the dining specialists will be available. There's another thread started within the last day or so that talks about people having difficulty getting them for later this year. I wonder if its on purpose and they're making changes to the packages. Oh well, we gifted ourselves with enough OBC to cover lots of dinners.
