What's the first thing you do when you board the ship?

What we do depends on what cruise line we are on. When on Princess, I go to specialty restaurants to book nights and times I want. Princess hardly allows early booking of anything. On lines where cabins are open when boarding, we'll drop off bags and do a quick change and grab some lunch. On ships where we can't get into room :mad: upon boarding, we'll lug along the carryon and get a relaxing lunch. We're new on Azamara next summer and we'll probably explore the ship, unpack, relax, and have a drink.

We go to our stateroom, drop off our carry-ons, and while I check out the room, my wife starts taking pictures.

I haven't been on Celebrity for a while, but they used to give out glasses of champagne as you were boarding. The first thing I did was grab a glass.
